The claim procedure was straightforward and simple. Santam’s Desktop Assessor , Maria Nyawuza, was pleasant, helpful and highly efficient. Definitely recommend Santam.
I ordered a new laptop online and over the weekend from the HP shop. Firstly, the website did not work properly and I was unable to put in the correct billing and shipping addresses. When the confirmation came to my email, I could see this was a problem. Billing to a White River (Mpumalanga) address and Shipping to Rustenburg (NW Province). I then went back onto the web and tried to correct it with no success. I called first thing on Monday to the number on the website, got through to Fortunate in Customer Care. That was unfortunate. I explained the problem (not rocket science) that I needed the billing address and the shipping address to be transposed. Confirmation came - she got it completely wrong. Tried calling back - held on for 9 minutes and there was no reply. I then emailed Fortunate setting out very clearly where the bill was to go to (Rustenburg) and where the laptop was to be delivered (White River). In this email I told them that I was going to put my experience on Hello Peter. I then got a confirmation email (my 3rd so far) confirming the almost correct info - billing to Rustenburg, delivery to White River. Guess what? Today the laptop was delivered to Rustenburg. I give up. How am I now going to get it when it’s 500 Kms away? Bad website, and a really thick agent, made for a very bad online shopping experience.
I have been a customer for 6 years now - what a great company, products that are well priced in the market, NO CONTRACTS, you can increase or decrease from month to month as your needs change. GREAT staff - knowedgeable even on the most technical of matters. Customercentric. I have just cancelled my Vodacom Fibre in favour of an AXXESS LTE solution - 5 times the speed and a half the price.
An unscrupulous and unprofessional crowd, I am afraid. Prey on people who don't understand technology and the contracts they are signing. Deliberately exclude information from the customer which would enable you to make an informed decision. Excessive prices charged for equipment rental, data and VOIP. Dont touch them.
