Recently had aircon installed in my home on the KZN South Coast. Very satisfied all-round.
Think twice before ordering online from Dis-Chem. Chances are you'll never receive your order. That's been my horrendous experience with them. After several excuses for the delay, the latest is that they don't have some items in stock and will credit my account. I have emailed twice to find out if the available items would none the less be delivered. No response. No delivery. No money credited to my account.
A big thumbs up to Marius from the Defy authorised service centre in Shelly Beach. After a shocking experience with the Defy call centre, I made contact with Marius a few days ago. Best thing ever! He has just sorted out my fridge perfectly. So if you live on the KZN South Coast, contact him directly for superb service (office 039 312 0089).
2 weeks ago I emailed Durban Service requesting a quote for a new fridge door. The fridge was originally delivered to me with dents in the door which I now wanted replaced at my cost. Carson Mudali directed me to Gladys Malebye and Nomsa Mdekane. What a nightmare. Useless is the only word to describe our interaction which got me nowhere. In desperation, I WhatsApped Marius, confident that he would help, as he had assisted me last year with the same fridge where he found that the door seal was loose all round and had never been glued at the factory. That was several days ago and disappointingly, not a word from Marius. To turn this hopeless situation into something positive, I have decided to donate the fridge to charity and buy a new fridge. Will it be a Defy? I doubt it. So if you're considering buying a new appliance, think twice before choosing Defy. It's just not worth the nightmare of dealing with incompetence par excellence should you require after sales service.
A big thumbs up to Gaynor and the Promotions Department at Outsurance. They certainly put their money where their mouth is. I was paid R1500 today because they couldn't beat my current premium.
Has anyone ever received the promo R1500 that Outsurance promises if they cannot beat your current premium? After spending more than an hour with Thumi on the phone, the best they could do was R40 more than my current premium. I received an SMS saying that an email with the link to claim would follow. This never happened. In my opinion it's a scam and they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. But they do because T's and C's apply.
