Karen at Snymans was amazing. She answered all the questions I had regarding the transfer of my property. She knew me by name and had her finger in the pulse at all times. I never felt left out of conversation and I never felt she was too busy to answer my questions. She guided me through the process and made it super smooth and manageable. I approached Tracey Forlee in July 2023 to sell my apartment in Lonehill. Not knowing she was a new agent, I found her service really impressive. She was easy to talk to, she was honest with her feedback and flexible with her approach to my needs. We got an amazing buyer and the process was smooth. She stayed in communication, was honest when she didn’t have information and was proactive with getting me feedback. This bank is not only completely out of touch with reality, it’s also got some of the most *********** people working for it. I have a ridiculous insurance policy attached to my home loan, I’m talking daylight *******. I ceded my own insurance with the same benefits (after much back and forth) and I was told two weeks ago that this issue would be resolved by Thursday 24/08/2023. I went back into the branch today after seeing no changes effected from the app, and it turns out that the call centre consultant who told me he had resolve my issue, had closed the request due to missing documentation (which I sent to him while on the call, and he acknowledged receipt). Needless to say, I have had to start the process again. I have missed on on hours of my own job, because if I don’t chase behind Standard Bank employees to do their job, nothing will happen. This is extremely frustrating and shocking, especially since decisions that are effected / not effected on time have financial implications on us (paying clients). I am completely deflated by the lack of urgency and accountability in such an established institution, I really wish I would have known this level of incompetence existed within the establishment before I chose to do business with them. Standard Bank, if you even care to read these reviews, your staff needs training on customers service and professionalism. They need to be trained on product knowledge, since every consultant has a different opinion on what needs to be done to resolve the same issue. And you need to get in touch with reality, we can’t be expected to take a day off work to come into a branch to resolve such simple matters, and then we’re still expected to follow up on so called professionals.
The angor online website wasn’t downloading my insurance schedule (please fix this) and Sydney was on the chat helping me out. He went above and beyond to get me the schedule, and when he realised that it was an outdated schedule, he made it his personal mission to get me the updated schedule. Thank you Sydney for your proactive professionalism 🙌🏾 I hope your work ethic brings you more success everywhere you go ⭐️
In 2014 I hired a car with Avis, got into an accident and I was charged for a write off even though the car was fine. I settled their +- R15000 that same year, and I never hired a car with them again. Today, almost 10 years later, I tried to hire a car with them and I was told I cannot hire a car because my name still shows the 2014 incident. The lady who helped me spoke to their head office, the mark against my name didn’t appear on one of the searches but appeared on another??? This company has brought me so much frustration, and after settling my account all those years ago, I’m again being punished for their failure to capture my payment and close the account. I really wish this company would at least have a professional standard in the way they handle their client’s accounts. This level of service is shocking, to say the least.
Leanne was very professional, patient and kept me informed every step of the way. I wish more people delivered customer service like this.
