I have lodged a claim with standard bank homeowners insurance on 5th April 2024. I received a call and a plumber was sent, nothing came of that so I had to phone again, hold on for another long time and another plumber was sent. They phoned to confirm what I already knew that my geyser burst. Here I am still waiting. Nothing replaced or fixed. Pathetic.
I wish I could give a zero but I cant. I would not recommend this company to anybody. DO NOT USE THEM. I order all my products online and 99 - 100% of the time receive them from various companies in 1 - 3 days. The Waist Trainer SA is the most pathetic people I have ever dealt with. No telephone number (how bizarre), no address (even more bizarre), no answers on your emails only a whatsapp with a rude person on the other side. Needles to say... two weeks after an order of almost R900 I am still without any product or refund. Pathetic. Please dont use these people. You will regret it.
I have submitted a claim for a wall that has fallen on 14 August 2020. Up to date I have phoned numerous times and only been able to get through twice. I have spoken to Thombie and Dineo and to date have not had any response. This is the worst service I have ever received. After complaining to Neville Segeel I had someone contacted be but still. NO LUCK. As of today I am still waiting for this complaint to be resolved. I received a call to tell me that someone will be in contact to come and fix our wall on Friday 13 November 2020 at 9 am. (This is now 4 months after my original claim). I was still waiting at 2 pm and phoned to try and find the issue. They were stuck at the supplier and wanted to come on Saturday which was not possible. Arrangements were made for them to come and install the new wall on Monday 16th November 2020 at 9 am. It is now 2.30 pm and still no joy. Arrangements have to be made and all appointments cancelled and moved to accommodate these installers. I phoned the gentleman who told me on Friday that they had problems at the supplier but all is sorted and now told me the same story again. As I requested his name and Company name the phone was dropped in my ear. In my life I have never experienced such bad service. I am today including a complaint to the consumer complaints department. Standard Bank Home Owners Insurance is the worst of the worst and I am not stopping at the consumer complaints as I will take this issue further. I want this issue resolved asap and I expect the whole wall to be inspected and fixed as a matter of urgency by a company of my choice and not an unreliable company that Standard Bank can obviously not control. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.
