Don't waste your money on EIGER appliances, while they make some nice stuff the products don't last. I bought their ice-maker which worked flawlessly until just after the warranty expired. I reached out to EIGER as all I need is a small spare part which has worn away which I can easily repair myself. They simply respond with 'sorry, there are no spares available for your unit'. So, I'll just throw my ice-maker in the bin (which is essentially what they suggest I do) and proceed to never buy another appliance with their brand on again.
I've used JC Dreyer to move me twice, while I have no complaints about their efficiency and how they handled my goods, I'm disappointed that stuff goes missing during the move. The first time they moved us we noticed that one particular box of goods didn't come out on the other side, we didn't pursue anything and left it at that as anything could have happened to this box. The second time they moved us in June this year, whey they arrived to collect I pointed out that all items in a particular spare room were not to be moved as I would move these items myself (mostly expensive stuff that I didn't want to get damaged or have ******). During the move I noticed that a few bottles of expensive wine that I had been keeping for years disappeared out of this room - I didn't say anything immediately as I thought I'd first see if they arrived at the destination, but after going through everything in the days that followed, these bottles never appeared. The wine was there before they arrived, and disappeared while they were there. I reached out to JC Dreyer to raise a complaint and I was told 'their guys don't ***** and are checked at the end of every job', and that was that. In the months that followed, I found more items which are missing, specifically two Android tablets which were in easily accessible boxes. I have no physical proof that these items were taken during my move, but feel strongly that they could only have been taken then as no-one else would have had access to these items. I won't ever be using their services again, neither will I ever recommend anyone to them.
Dear WebAfrica Your WhatsApp support process and agents are beyond pathetic, I've tried one last time follow the correct channel and as soon as I told the agent I need to cancel my service he totally ignored me for an hour, and I promptly ended the chat and will not be wasting another minute of my time with your company. I hereby give notice of my cancellation which WILL take effect at the end of April 2023, this is within the one calendar month notice period. My service is more than 12 months old and I did not receive any connecting hardware from you so there is nothing for you to claw back either. The credit card I use for payment is dedicated to WebAfrica payments and will be promptly disabled on 2 April after you've taken the final payment on 1 April (you bill in advance). It feels great to finally be rid of WebAfrica. To others in my situation, if you're paying by credit card, most banks let you create temporary cards for online payments where you control their expiry and can disable them at any point - my suggestion is you switch your payment method to a temporary card and remove your real card, and then promptly disable your temporary card after your final payment has been deducted. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.
I've never been a customer of MTN. Wake up this morning and what do I see - a mysterious MTN SP debit order for R1170. Tried calling 083 135 and guess what? There is NO option to speak to an agent unless you are an MTN customer. I've had Nedbank reverse this debit order but I would like feedback and confirmation from MTN that this has been blocked on their side too.
