Wang Thai Friday 02/12 Worst Experiance ever We arrivied (a group of 9) at the restaurant and after waiting a good couple of minutes probably about 10min in, the waiter came to introduce himself and took our drinks order. The drinks took forever to arrive at the table. We pre-ordered starters on the Tuesday when the reservation was made and so this was the only dish of the night that was on time. Our waiter was very sweet and apologised all the way trying to keep us happy and doing his best to get our drinks from the bar. At one stage he was behind the bar himself washing glasses and getting them ready for our drinks. Eventually the mains started to arrive after what felt like hours (probably 45-50min later). One of our guests were served her dish about 8 min before the rest of the dishes arrived. Further to this we didn’t get a garlic rice as ordered and were only advised that they were out once the food arrived and it was swopped out for egg fried rice, without asking or advising the guest. Two steaks were ordered and one was served way after all the other food arrived as the kitchen only made one. After about 10 min in we asked regarding the duck dish for one of our guests and was told that there was a mistake in the kitchen and only two ducks were made instead of three. After we all finished our meals and one of the guests shared their meal with the lady who was still waiting, the duck dish finally arrived. We asked for a takeaway box immediately as the lady was certainly not hungry anymore and so angry that she couldn’t even eat. At this time the waiter yet again apologised. As a group that works in the service industry we told him it was in no way his fault and that clearly the whole place was mismanaged. I told him that he should really not be the one to take the blame and that where issues occur the manager should step in and facilitate. Two minutes later the manageress arrived ready with excuses and clearly not ready to understand our frustrations. She told us that we won’t be able to order dessert because by this time the kitchen had closed (we could see kitchen staff at the bar.) I politely pointed in the direction of the bar and asked her if it is her kitchen staff at the bar having drinks on which she replied ‘Yes, they have been working hard so I let them off to enjoy a drink before going home.’ This happening while customers are still in the restaurant and some of us still waiting for orders placed!! During the time we were waiting on orders and drinks, the manager didn’t once visit our table to apologise or intervine with us waiting more than 45min for our drinks and meals. The food that did arrive to the table was decent and the waiter made effort. The manageress was seemingly passive aggressive and generally rude took the shine off the evening and we as a group will never be back or recommend this place to any of our acquaintances.
I ordered 4 Dining room chairs! This is the second return on these chairs! I am extremely unsatisfied with service I am receiving! The first 4 black chairs was damaged and certain parts were missing the replacement thereof with damaged and I didn’t even take the time to check if all the parts are there! On top of this is the returned chairs a different colour than the once ordered before! This is an extreme service failure and I expected far better from takealot!
Worst Slowest Service from Kauai in Rondebosch! The whole shop os extremely dirty and I organised! MrD and Uber Eats drivers waiting for orders for 10min + we as customers waited 30 for two wraps? This is not the kauai standard!
We visited Vida E Caffè in Tygervalley this afternoon. We wanted to order take-away coffees. After stepping to the counter I realised it was almost closing time for them so I asked if we could still order. The gentleman at the till then shouted to one of the others and asked what the time is. Eventually we got the go ahead to order. While waiting for our order the staff started to pack up shop in a very unprofessional way! Chairs were being packed in front of the counter where we should take the take-aways and they started closing the big sliding windows (almost into my friend). He then asked my friend to move and slides the window passed us. By the time the coffees was done everything was packed up and we couldn’t even get lids or sugar because the window was allready slided in front of the area and there was chairs everywhere around it. I felt so sorry for the people that even ordered after us; they were probably almost locked up in there. Teach the staff how to lock-up in a professional way please! If closing time advise customers that you can unfortunately not take orders anymore. Never run those sliding windows into people, make them feel boxed in and then on top of that basically make them drink sugerless coffee because everything is closed. A small little profesionalism goes a long way. A smile or kind gesture would’ve made the world’s difference!
