Absa: Please note that due to Black Friday your vehicle finance debit order will be processed earlier than usual. Your instalment will be debited on the 28-Nov-25. Auth FSP/NCRCP7 Pieter De Bruin Message: Why does Absa take an early payment on my vehicle finance on 28\11\2025 due to black Friday. According to law black Friday is not a public holiday. My contract with Absa Finance is for the 1st of every month. Not as and when it suits Absa. This is a breach of contract on Absa side. Absa is not authorized to debit my account early on my vehicle finance solely because of Black Friday. Absa must follow the terms of the contract agreed upon.
How is it possible that Absa charge R2.40 per SMS for an inter account transfer and Capitec only charge 35c per sms to any other bank. I think Absa is out of line with their bank costs

I went to Absa Montana bank on 15 Dec 2020. Due to covid I had to wait my turn to see someone at customer services. There were 3 ladies serving customers. I was attended to at around 10:30 and only left the bank at 11:42 !! This is according to me very poor service. I only had to provide my ID and proof of residence because I didn’t have it with me when I was issued a new card at another branch. While the other 2 employees attended to at least 2 or 3 customers I was the only customer spending longer than an hour to sort out something simple. There was no problem with any of my documents. Unfortunately none of them were wearing name tags so I don’t know who served me. This was my first visit to Absa Montana but will definitely also be my last
