Thank you Open road carriers! I reached out on WhatsApp to assist with transporting our vehicle from Beaufort West to Midrand. Wednesday our car was loaded, it arrived in Midrand on Thursday.😊 We received constant updates and the drivers also communicated throughout.

I would like to thank Matthew Van Buuren from Open Road Carriers for his friendly, efficient service. He was very professional in assisting me. Open Road Carriers transported a vehicle for me from Brackenfell Cape Town to Clayville in Olifantsfontein. Matthew contacted me and kept me updated on the details of the trip and when the vehicle will arrive at its final destination. The service from the company was excellent and their quotation was very competitive. Happy customer Pieter de Bruin

If I could reverse the clock, I would. I have delivered my vehicle on the 8th Jan 2024 at Olifantsfontein GP. Yhe vehicle had to be delivered to Somerset WC over a day period. The vehicle was perfectly driving and was in a good condition. Upon delivery there were damages on the bumper which were shown to the driver and he agreed and signed on the delivery note. Secondly the clutch was faulty the gear selection was not good. I immediately reported this issue and the company director informed me that they will not accept any liability to both damages. I was appalled to have found similar review of a damaged vehicle reported previously for Open Road Carriers. Once bitten twice shy….

Open Road Carriers have the worst service I have ever experienced with vehicle hauling. They received my fully functional car in February 2022 in Cape Town and delivered it to Johannesburg with a blown engine...it couldn't start the very moment they handed the keys to me. They refused to accept liability but couldn't explain to me how a fully running vehicle is delivered a non runner. Conversations with the drivers indicated that they had done some something to start the car, but the managers Frans and Matthew van Buuren were completely dishonest. Not once did they notify me of the problem. It was only after they delivered and drove away that I discovered the issue. VW confirmed that when they inspected the engine, the malfunction was a result of them starting the car incorrectly; and this corroborates what Open Road's drivers said. Open Road knowing that they were not covered for negligence then proceed to submit a claim with their insurance which was rejected because they aren't covered for that. Subsequent attempts to get answers as to what they did to my car and to reach an out of court settlement have not been responded to. It is now 7 months and my car is not functional despite multiple attempts by VW to revive it. Open Road Carriers has completely ruined my life in a time when things are so expensive for consumers. Their level of dishonesty is shameful and disgusting.

Recently had my vehicle transported from Cape Town to Pretoria and Open Road Carriers was excellent. Communication with Matthew was efficient and quick, always responding to any queries. Staff member who delivered my car was professional and careful. Not the cheapest but worth the peace of mind.

My son ordered the services of Open Road Carriers to transport his car from Belleville WC to Oliefantsfontein GP. He dropped the car with them on the morning of Friday 10th December 2021, he was told to expect the car in GP between 16h00 to 17h00 the next day. He flew into GP the same Friday evening. We received NO update whatsoever from Open Road Carriers and their partners, NOTHING! If my son did not track his car on his personal tracking App, we would have been in the dark the entire time the company was in possessing of the car. NO communication, not even a mere SMS! I drove him to the location of the Carrier's final destination (depot) and got there around 18h40 because we were getting more anxious. The truck was parked with 3 vehicles on top (including the car in question). No communication whatsoever. We knocked and security opened, only to find the truck driver had rushed somewhere and we waited for 30 more minutes for him. I spoke telephonic to a certain Matthew from the company and he was all defensive, insisting that my son got hold of him all the time. They never send any communication to my son, not even to notify him that his car has arrived. How were they expecting him to collect it. Really! I was upset and have made it clear to them that their service leave a lot to be desired. It was our first experience with them and it was BAD!!!!
