I am utterly disgusted by the level of incompetence I’ve experienced from Standard Bank’s Business banking division. If you’re a start-up or a growing business, I strongly advise you to stay far away because Standard Bank does not value your business. For over a month now, I’ve been trying to get a simple request fulfilled: proof of payment documents older than 6 months, which are not accessible via internet banking. I’ve been sent in circles, shuffled from one department to another with no accountability. The staff managing my request refuses to provide any updates even after I follow up multiple times, I get vague responses like “we’re working on it,” and then complete silence for days on end. When I ask for an update again after 5 days of no feedback, I’m just ignored. This is not just frustrating it’s costing my business time and money. These documents are needed for tax compliance, and Standard Bank’s sheer inability to provide timely support is causing real damage. Standard Bank claims to support businesses, but in my experience, their Business Banking services are completely unresponsive, disorganised, and indifferent. I expected professionalism and reliability. Instead, I’ve had to chase them constantly and still received no resolution.

I picked up a Rain SIM card from Click on Tuesday and completed the online activation and Rica the same day. It’s been two days now. My account had been debited for the data and I still don’t have connection. It’s been two days now and every time I call the support line, I am given a story about my sim activation still being in the queue. The websites FAQs indicate activation after 2 hours of completing the activation of the sim. Seems like they cannot live up to their promises and they are of no help to resolve the issue.
I made an online purchase and received no confirmation email. The amount was charged of my account and it has been over 6 weeks with no delivery. The website is no longer available and there is no way of contacting the brand about it.
