have received feedback from Dunlop & dealership in KZN, Dealership has offered to purchase the Lock nuts & replace. good service from Dunlop Super Phoenix.... Thank you!!!! A management point to the Dunlop & its affiliates is to ensure that the safety check are carried out after every tyre job etc the business is offering
I went to do a tyre rotation & wheel alignment Dunlop Zone Phoenix opposite the Phoneix Plaza, left car & went for a walkabout to the Plaza. Returned to be informed that rear 2 Mags are "buckled" & tyre rotation could not be performed. I accepted all that was said & paid the R400 for the work & left. I returned to JHB on Sunday 13 Aug. Was confident that Dunlop Phoneix took care to inspect the car after works was completed by a senior technician or manager so I just drove away not worrying about missing wheel nuts/ lock studs etc. Took the car to another tyre shop in Orange Grove 21 Aug. They took rear tyres of "buckled" mags & rotated tyres with front mags. Balanced all four mags & no issues where found. All that I can accept, but what erks me is the following; when I took the car to Dunlop Phoneix they were quick to point out faults etc ( very appreciated of that) but they damn left 1 Lock nut out from 1 tyre & on the other 3 tyres 1 tyre nut missing!!!! with all the care to inform customers of faults on tyres & mags they care to forget to put back what holds the tyres on the car!!!! Drove ****m home on Sunday 13 Aug!!!!!! Have pic taken at Orange grove to show nuts/lock nuts missing Invoice 224849 I send this to Hellopeter as to date no-one at Dunlop or the branch has called since I published my experience on my Google account 1 month ago. Unfortunately I took it upon myself to replace the missing nuts but the missing Lock stud I cannot replace.
I was called in July & offered a personal loan, consultant went ahead & explained all in details, Sent all documents required for approval. At no time in the initial conversation or follow up conversation did I accept the loan according to my recollection. Two days later the money was deposited in my account which was a Friday & the Monday after I promptly deposited the money loaned to me after sending email to consultant. No news since 2 months & suddenly in September money was taken out of my account. According to Sanlam & Direct Axis I now have a Settlement Balance to pay. Have sent numerous emails to customer care at Sanlam & Direct Axis but to no joy as no one cares to call . 24 Sep Nicky Hill (Sanlam Customer Services) sends a Settlement letter to me with no mention of the facts since July. I have rep**** to Nicky asking for all conversations in initials calls wherein I approve the loan. Maybe I do not recall approving the loan or maybe Sanlam did not hear me correctly!!!!
Went to OBasket North Beach at 7.30pm on Sunday 27.3.2022. Turned away as restaurant was closed. Placed was full of patrons still eating No staff to welcome us at door & staff who we walked to see inside the restaurant was cold & Bitter after counting my group (5) of eager & hungry mouths just said "we closed" No indication of business times at door etc but have a photo of the business time on phone which I found lying a Front desk Times shows Friday to Sunday is 21h00 closing time!!!! Really disappointed as we drove from Umhlanga to celebrate my 15yr old sons birthday & we Joburgers who were looking for good fresh seafood to eat. Had to settle for Fish Aways in Florida road.
6 Jan 2021 we took the alternate road to KZN & passing Nottingham Road I decided to take the road to Balgowan. I stopped with my family at Swissland Cheese which is steep drive to the farm which produces Goat cheese on the farm. We walked into the small store & upon greeting a lady we explored the store. We had to asked for info about the different cheeses on display etc the lady was not very pleasant in her manner & attitude to us. Their was a cheese tasting board which was not offered to us nor did we ask (maybe our mistake) we purchased for R416 & upon leaving the store another GP car entered & we stood & looked at the warm reception that was given to our fellow Gautengers!!! they where offered cheese to taste & smile was evident on the lady face. we definitely will be making the same trip in the near future when all is clear in SA but will definitely give Swissland Cheese a miss.
Taking the alternate to KZN one can find many places to stop & enjoy a cuppa, cheeses, pancakes etc once such place we found is the The Railway House on the alternate road between Mooi river & Howick. A small pleasant roadside store to enjoy the best Hot chocolate we have had anywhere in SA. The store is filled with all the best organic goodies we look for & a pleasant place to sit & enjoy a cup of coffee etc Good service & pleasant attitudes from staff. Definitely a place to put on your roadmap.
