Approximately 6 months ago, I purchased a pool table from Lectron Bil****ds’ Umhlanga branch for use at my Bed and Breakfast in Durban. Shockingly, the table has already developed severe disgusting mould, despite being kept covered and well maintained. This isn’t normal wear and tear — it’s clear evidence of a substandard or defective product. When I contacted Billy, the salesman who sold me the table, I was met with immediate denial of responsibility and arrogant blame-shifting. He told me the damage was my fault because I used an “inferior cover.” But here’s the catch — I bought the cover directly from him at Lectron! When I pointed that out, Billy suddenly changed his story, saying “maybe someone spilled something on it.” No inspection. No facts. Just convenient excuses to dodge responsibility. He promised to report it to head office and call me back by Monday morning, 4 August 2025. That never happened. He then ignored my calls, refused to answer, and completely stonewalled all communication. I had to call the Cape Town branch myself. A staff member there was polite and said Billy would call me. When he finally did, his attitude was even worse — rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful. Billy refused to send a technician, refused to even look at the table, and arrogantly declared that “his directors wouldn’t authorise repairs.” He raised his voice, spoke over me, and eventually slammed the phone down. No inspection was done. No technical opinion. Just pure negligence, dishonesty, and zero accountability. Billy has now blamed me twice without any investigation, and Lectron Bil****ds has made no effort to resolve or even understand the problem. I am now stuck with a rotting, unusable pool table and have suffered damages to my business as a result. I will be taking legal action in Court, but I strongly warn anyone reading this: Do NOT trust Lectron Bil****ds Umhlanga. Do NOT trust Billy. Once they get your money, you’re on your own — no service, no integrity, no accountability.

Top-Class Service and Excellent Products I’m based in Durban and recently purchased two coin-operated arcade gaming machines and a coin-operated foosball machine from George at Games for Africa. I had never met George in person—our entire interaction was over the phone and via WhatsApp after I came across his products on his website. Despite the distance, the experience was seamless. I paid via EFT, and George delivered the machines to my courier of choice without any hassle. I had installed a Netstar Vehicle Tracking system on the 8th of Febuary 2022. The system never worked from Day 1 and is still not working. I contacted Netstar on Numerous occasions to have the matter resolved. Finally after 2 weeks they came out and replaced the faulty unit. The same day the new unit stopped working !!! I have been contacting netstar now for the past 2 weeks asking them to change the unit. They have been making bookings with me and not showing up. They even stopped returning my calls. I last spoke to Nandi the supervisor there in customer services who promised to have the unit changed, this was over a week ago and to date nothing has happened. I called again yesterday I spoke to kagiso and requested Varthi who is Nandi manager to assist and again. Netstar is failing to replace this faulty unit. This is pathetic service from Netstar and their whole team. They have no reasons as to why their tracking devices don't work. Nandi went to the point of telling me that there is a problem with Vodacom and it could be Vodacoms fault as to why Netstars vehicle tracking units are failing. This matter is going on from the 8th of Febuary to date. Netstar has failed me as a client. Yet they continue to debit me for a service they cannot provide. I have fitted 2 tracking devices on my vehicle with Netstar as well as a panic button BUT NOTHING works. NETSTAR - What happens in the event of My vehicle getting stolen or hijacked ??? This is going on for 2 months now. Nandi and Varthi, NETSTAR should really reconsider your positions in CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE!!!!
FNB IS USING BARRET AND ASSOCIATES AS LEGAL THUGS. I HAVE SETTLED A JUDGEMENT IN FULL WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED, THROUGH THEIR ATTORNEYS BARRET AND ASSOCIATES WITH THE MANAGER MOLEBOHENG. BEFORE SETTLEMENT, MOLEBOHENG WROTE TO ME STATING THAT THE JUDGEMENT WILL BE REMOVED WITHIN 21 DAYS. IT HAS NOW GONE 3 MONTHS AFTER PAYMENT WAS MADE, I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SETTLEMENT LETTER WITH THE CASE NUMBER FROM THE COURT AS PER MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT FROM BARRET AND ASSOCIATES. ALSO I AM STILL LISTED ON ITC. EVERYTIME I CONTACT BARRET AND ASSOCIATES THEY GIVE ME ANOTHER STORY ABOUT HOW INCOMPETENT FNB IS AND THAT THIS IS FNB FAULT. TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE JUST SHIFTING THE BLAME. BARRET AND ASSOCIATES AS WELL AS FNB HAD TAKEN MY MONEY. NOW NO 1 WANTS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MONEY I HAVE PAID. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 3 MONTHS NOW AND MOLEBOHENG DOESNT EVEN TAKE MY CALLS. PLEASE GUYS OUT THERE DO NOT PAY THESE UNSCRUPULOUS ATTORNEYS ANY MONEY. IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU CAN MAKE. I have been an OLD MUTUAL client for 12 Years now. In my portfolio I have an income sickness benefit which would pay me a monthly income every month should I ever get sick. 6 months ago I put a claim through with my advisor who wrote my policy. My Claim has not been attended too. When you call the claims department No one answers. Neither do They do not reply to emails. My claim has been sitting with Old Mutual Claims with a Grant Engelbrecht for over 6 months now. He is never at work as his phone rings constantly with no answer. 021 509 3962. I have tried calling him over 100 times in the past couple off months. His phone just rings. Where is Grant ??? This is Pathetic service from Old Mutual, How can your Claims Manager be not at work for 6 months. Is anyone working in your claims department.
