I am at my wits end with Nedbank!!! I've had my Nedbank account for 30 years with no problems until about 2 years ago. The last few months especially has been horrific with NO help from Nedbank to resolve my problem which originated because some genius in the card division decided to log a non-existent ***** case on my credit card. Numerous visits to the Zevenwacht branch as well as many calls to the card division, personal banking and the call centre has been a total waste of my time. I am now getting harassing sms's for supposed arrears on the card even though I made the payment on my app INSIDE the bank. All the agent in the bank could tell me is that the payment went into a dormant card on my app which I was unaware of because it is not visible on my Nedbank App. As a last resort, I was advised by the only agent out of more that 10 that I interacted with, to request a refund on my "lost payment" from email address: nrrqueries@nedbank.co.za This was sent off last week on 5th June 2023 but I have had no response at all as yet. As I was typing this, yet another sms came through demanding payment to settle "arrears"
On Saturday 13th February I responded to an advert on Facebook for a Keto Premier Weight loss product. I was offered a 'free' product but on checkout was charged R70 for postage. I abandoned the transaction and almost immediately received an message offering the postage as R35,00 . I agreed to this and completed the order only to have R941,00 processed to my credit card within seconds. I then immediately phoned the number supplied for cancellations +27 87 550 2437 and was assured by the call centre agent that the transaction would be reversed and that I would receive a confirmation email to this effect. On Monday 15th Feb 2021 I received an email only confirming the order plus the additional order which I did not agree to. It was described as a 16 week diet challenge and detailed ORDER #104348409 goldskincs.com and ORDER #104348412 agihealthcs.com as the companies that I had supposedly bought the product from. On the 15th I again sent a strongly worded email asking for the refund to my card. This request was completely ignored by the follow-up email I received in which they just re-iterated my supposed order for the 16 WEEK DIET CHALLENGE plus a product called REVERSOSLIM. When I phoned again today, I was told that no further charges would be made to my account, but that they could only process a refund once I had received the product and returned them unopened to the company. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A COMPANY OUT TO SCAM PEOPLE AND I WAS DRAWN IN BECAUSE IT SHOWS A SOUTH AFRICAN COMPANY NAME AND CONTACT NUMBER. THE AGENT SOUNDED CHINESE OR ASIAN
