Be very careful of ordering online from this company www.sunshinecashandcarry.co.za. We placed and paid for an order on 27 April 2025 - the order and payment were acknowledged - the order was not dispatched - it is almost impossible to contact the company and when you do get hold of customer support they promise that they will sort it out / dispatch in 2 days / escalate and then they don't. It is now 18 March 2026 and we have still not received our order.
The online customer support is shocking !!! We purchased Vinyl and some other items on 17 December 2021. We did not ever receive tracking details... and only when we followed up did they say they did not have what we ordered in stock... so we reluctantly chose an alternative.... the days went by.... we followed up again and were told they had shipped the order. Eventually the order arrived on the 24th December 2021. When we went to collect the shipment it was clear the main item in the parcel (vinyl) was not packed carefully and had then been folded by the courier so was damaged irreparably. We initially did not accept the parcel and contacted them immediately. The only message we got was to say we would need to follow up with their courier as they had packed the order correctly. Thereafter they did not return our calls, emails or whatsapp messages. On the 12th January 2022 after sending numerous unanswered emails, whatsapps etc we phoned their landline and had to negotiate long and hard to speak to a manager. The manager asked us to send photos and said he would fix the problem. We sent photos of the damaged parcel. We followed up on the 13th January 2022. It is now the 19th January 2022 with absolutely no contact from Home Hyper City.
Sophie Moabelo was at Telkom Fourways when we first came into contact with her as a Telkom customer some years ago. Understanding that customers are busy people themselves Sophie listened to the requirements, asked for the required documents and then got everything together (paperwork etc) so we could simply go in, sign papers etc and leave with everything sorted out. Her customer focus and customer care is truly outstanding. It is such a pleasure to deal with a large company like Telkom when there is someone of Sophie's calibre to help us navigate through business landlines, business cell phone contracts, etc. When you email Sophie she responds with an exceptional understanding of our business requirement and how Telkom services can best support that requirement. Sophie is now at Northgate and this week we had the pleasure of meeting up with her to sign documents etc for cell phone upgrades and a number of changes to existing services and upgrades to new services. Once again we had discussed the requirements over the phone and via email, Sophie had arranged that all the documentation was ready to sign and in 30 minutes we left the Telkom office with our long list of things sorted out or firmly in progress. It is simply exceptional customer service.
We have NEVER had a successful delivery from COURIERIT. We are now in the 4th frustrating / annoying delivery by COURIERIT in Feb and March 2021. In each case we shopped online and COURIERIT was selected by the online shop to deliver the parcel to us - this is now the 4th delivery that we have had to chase, follow up for days on end. etc. It is VERY frustrating when you phone COURIERIT and are told that the courier has phoned you but you have had your phone with you for the whole day and there are no missed calls..... when you get told by COURIERIT that you live in a HIGH RISK ZONE so delivery will only be next week on Thursday when they go to high risk zones (we DO NOT live in a high risk zone)...... then COURIERIT says they have a new driver in the area..... the driver has a completely different story..... and so it goes on and on....... There are no words to describe how AWFUL the customer / delivery service is from COURIERIT in comparison with the other courier companies we deal with.... (and we deal with a number of courier companies on a daily basis) COURIERIT feels you as the customer can get a message at 7am to say your parcel will be delivered between 7am and 5pm with absolutely NO FOLLOW UP and then after 5:00pm there will be a message to say something like "your delivery has been rescheduled to...." wait for it.... a week to up to a month from todays date Most of us do not have the time nor energy to chase after courier deliveries.... and certainly after 4 such time consuming / totally frustrating deliveries from COURIERIT we will be making absolutely sure that anything we purchase online WILL NOT BE DELIVERED by COURIERIT. We simply do not have the time to deal with inefficient companies that are as un customer-focused as this.
