Deposit refund still not paid, no progress report unless you call only to spend lots of airtime waiting, sometimes to be told the person dealing with your matter is on leave. Its almost a month now, and I still don’t have a clue when will I get my money back. I moved out of Rosewood in Honeydew and later received a Move Out Inspection report that was rather disappointing than fair. First of all the inspection was carried out in my absence, and the outcome indicates a blatant and shameless disregard for tenants' efforts to keep good books with these guys. I did my best to keep my unit as clean and problem free as possible, including paying my rent on time. It is however disheartening to see that AFHCO would rather look for anything to take money from me, even if it means making things up. A lot of things were never fixed when I moved in and all throughout my stay, including: Dripping toilet, shower head, swollen cupboards, missing toothbrush cup, etc. I was surprised to see that now I am responsible for a cup that I did not even find when I moved into the unit, let alone a cupholder which is visible in both the move in and move out report images. Why should I replace a cupholder that is already there, and a cup that was never made available to me? The worst part is, the Move In report stated that there was “No toothbrush cup” in one of the 2 bathrooms. There was only one toothbrush cup in the whole unit when I moved in, and I left that one cup when I moved out, not sure it matters if I left it in bathroom A or B. The move out report can confirm that the cup is there in one of the bathrooms and both have cupholders, yet the inspector had the guts to report that I must buy AFHCO a cupholder and a cup. I regret not seeing the stains on a section of the kitchen wall mentioned in his report, because a simple wipe would have probably fixed it. Moreover, I think it makes better sense to have the same person who did the move in inspection, do the move out inspection, as they are the best person to know what was fixed and what was not. In my case it was done by 2 different individuals. I am still an AFHCO tenant, now at another location, and I am not happy to know that these guys will do anything to hold my deposit, no matter how best I try to maintain their properties, and yet less attention is given to my basic request as paying a tenant. I got here and had to clean rat ****, mold, make do with one basin stopper for a whole 2 bed unit, cracked shower glass still not replaced, not all lights switches working, ever wet entrance due a leaking gutter, and substandard fixes that will most likely be thrown onto me when moving out. I just want my money back. It’s so stressful to imagine that I am going to struggle like this again to get my deposit back for this new place I am at, because it is still under them.
**** website this cars.co.za I posted my advert and paid R416, got notification a message after that saying my advert would be live within 1 working day. Its going to 2 days now and I still have not recieved the email notification they said would be sent to me confiming my advert is up. I posted and paid on autotrader around the same time, within a few munites they called me to tel me my advert was live. I sent an email to ad@cars.co.za and no reply till now. I dont recommend these guys, am not surprised they've got so many bad reviews..
If I could give minus zero stars I would. Useless service provider. All they care about is taking your money. Their network is as good as not having internet at all. Right now I am sitting with my router showing no network at all (Red), you will call them and they take you through useless steps that never yield any positive results. I spent 3 days without internet last month, yet they still bill you as though everything was normal. When you get lucky and there is a bit of connectivity, be sure to maximize that little time because it wont be long until you are throttled. Their speed test platform is a big liar, never believe what it says. It will say you are running on a 15Mbs speed and yet at that same time it takes ages to download a simple 10MB file. Their support doesn't care, you send an email today, they respond in 10 days. Calling them is pointless, nothing is solved over the phone, either the phone gets dropped when the guys has no clue what to do or you get a promise to be called back and that never happens. You tell them your experience with their network, they tell you they see nothing wrong on their side. Not worth my time and money. Rain is an insult to consumers.
