I did not make a purchase from this company. It was my intention to purchase a couch/couches. I did my due diligence by asking appropriate questions. I was told there was a no refund policy in relation to returning items if applicable. Mind you, I am not located in the same province as this business. When I drew awareness about the potential *******ity of the blanket no refund policy (in relation to the CPA), I was equated to terms like disgruntled and told that maybe it was best that I do not make a purchase. As someone interacting with this business for the first time, I found this to be grossly inappropriate. A more appropriate response would have been to simply say thank you for the feedback and that it would be escalated to the legal team for further consideration. I would be very very weary about making any purchase from them if this is the attitude from the off...Once they have your money, good luck with getting it back...
Needless to say I would not recommend or go back!! The service is absolutely putrid! Nobody at the door to receive us. When they did eventually come, we were seated and proceeded to wait between 10-20 minutes before someone approached us asking "Why is your table empty?" The staff seemed new, uninterested or poorly trained. Chefs and wait staff visibly and audibly argue with one another about food not being collected timeously- very unprofessional. Multiple customers were heard complaining about various aspects from service to the food during our time there. The waitress came to check on us- although very infrequently. My experience with the food was decent. It was prepared well, had flavour and presented nicely. That was unfortunately the only silver lining in an otherwise disappointing overall experience.
Be careful with this guy- Brain. Firstly, the business is advertised on Facebook with really good pictures of the work done and posts of "another happy customer". The non-noticeable thing here is that the review/recommendation section is not enabled by the business. This is clearly an attempt to hide honest, constructive or concerning feedback. Came out to take measurements of the area needing to be paved and provided a quote (which was reasonable in comparison to others). I asked whether it included rubble removal and was told that it did. Came out to my property promptly and did the work over 2 days. Halfway through, Brain requested part payment(which I did not have an issue with) but insisted on an immediate payment because his bank was slow. Once the work was completed, again insisted on immediate payment. The reason this time was that he needed petrol to get home. This a day after getting 50% payment. I enquired about the remaining rubble and was told her would come back to collect it. When I followed up about the rubble removal, he wanted to charge me again for it. After I told him he said it was included in the quoted price, he made excuses like he doesnt have petrol money- 3 days after being paid thousands of rand!! Ónce he received full payment, he was no longer bothered with fulfilling the agreed upon obligation. They left all the rubble behind and even broke my outside tap and chipped the wall. My advice is that if you want to use them, dont pay them in full until all obligations is fulfilled. Although the work done is good, the conduct and attitude is unprofessional. They were paid for a service and only rendered part of it. Once they get paid they could care less!!!!!!!!!!!!
STAY AWAY...I repeat...STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!!!!!! This dealership has contravened the Customer Protection Act (CPA). They sold a defective vehicle that manifested defects within 3 months of the sale. They took no accountability for repairing the vehicle, ignored numerous calls and follow ups- causing the consumer to go to Motor Industry Ombudsman SA (MIOSA) as an escalation point. After investigation by MIOSA, a ruling was made in the consumer's favour and they were instructed to repair and collect the vehicle within 15 business days. This was contested and then ignored, prompting a further escalation to the National Consumer Commission where another investigation was conducted. The investigation found them in contravention of the CPA. They THEN contacted the consumer to want to repair the car (3 years after they were made aware of issues with the vehicle)...OUTRAGEOUS This entire process took 3 years- while the consumer had to continue to pay the car instalment and not having access to a vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They showed no concern for the consumers rights under the CPA and less so for what the consumer had to endure with the investigations were underway!!! THEY WILL outright ignore any attempts to do the right thing. Just look at previous reviews on Google where they engaged in similar behaviour. AVOID MAKING A PURCHASE FROM THEM AT ANY COST- NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE DEAL!!!!!!! ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY- YOU ARE AS GOOD AS DEAD TO THEM!!!!!
