Items collected efficiently on 21 July 2022. It is now 17 October 2022, of the 28 items provided to them, 9 have been sold, and the other 19 are now unaccounted for. Sale Records provided by them included items that were not mine. So I must conclude that my items appeared on other customer sales records. Their control systems and record keeping is poor. Very poor responses to email or Whatsapps to resolve the matter. I would not recommend using them.
I wrote a 1 star review on 30 March 2021. That obviously got things going, and I must give credit to the Ops team for dispatching a horse and trailer about one quarter full with our stuff in it. And the ops team did an efficient job of packing things out (and in fairness, they did a great job in packing everything up originally) And maybe I would have given them an improved review following the delivery. But then I got an email from HelloPeter saying that Master Movers had reported my review as inappropriate/i.e. false. The fact that my review of 30 March 2021 is still up is because of all the evidence I had to submit to support my review. From the perspective of HelloPeter - that should give all of us a lot of comfort that HelloPeter does moderate reviews - so well done to HelloPeter From the perspective of Master Movers - not cool! If you are unhappy with a review, rather deal with the substantive issues. But instead they tried to skew the reviews in their favour by trying to get HelloPeter to take my review down. Like I said - not cool.
A follow up from a previous review. 22 days of pain trying to carry out a migration that they forced me into. Tickets not responded to any reasonable timeframe. Some were closed without any response. Which is just unacceptable. 5 days of Emails lost. Forever. Because of a system error on their side. Which I had to explain to them. Tools that they make available and even sent me video links to show me how to do it turned out not to be activated for their customers - but I had to spend hours on the phone to them to prove that the features in question did not work. They then hacked into my email accounts and had full access to my private emails - and because they changed the password I got locked out of my own accounts. So data privacy was not a big concern for them. 1-grid does not care about POPIA and ECTA legal compliance, and no one senior bothered to phone and apologise. The overall platform is sound, and yes the new servers are way more secure. So that is a win. And you do get a whole lot of bang for your buck. I have been hosted by them since April 2015, and until 19 March 2021 hardly any problems, and the one I did have was solved quickly. But their technical team is woeful in supporting the new platform, and senior management and directors just don't seem to care.
Terrible customer service - misleading quotes and broken promises on delivery due dates. I would never use these guys. Despite confirming dates in writing with them they have the cheek to say that they never committed to a delivery date. Plus we had to pay for extra boxes because they do the quotes telephonically- how are we supposed to know how big their boxes are?
I read all the other good reviews about Zolani, Eldrid, Antonia - been through them all. A lot of other users seemed to have a smooth migration. Unfortunately not me I was forced into a migration by 1-grid from their old severs to new servers. 10 days later I still have no emails I log tickets and they get closed without being resolved - which in this industry is a shocking ethical violation by the support staff I have to follow up twice a day - and every time it’s the same story - they need to escalate to a SYSADMIN or Plesk Super User and will phone back. Which they never do. Then I have to phone again If you are considering using 1-grid for hosting I would recommend looking elsewhere
