Cell World Bayside Mall I deeply regret ever stepping into this store. I brought my iPhone 14 in for a battery replacement and a new back glass. I was promised it would take no longer than one hour. In reality, I was kept waiting for over two hours, with constant excuses like “10 more minutes”, “almost done”, “just a moment”. Had they been honest from the start, I could’ve made other plans – but instead, my entire day was ruined. Worse still, I told them I did not want to leave without my phone, even if the repair wasn’t finished. I asked for it back multiple times – as-is – and they refused to return it, which is completely unacceptable. Originally, they quoted me R2,600 for a low-quality Chinese replacement battery (worth maybe R200) and a back glass (R150 max). After a lot of haggling, I paid R1,700 plus a screen protector – still way too much for non-original parts. The battery they installed is clearly much weaker than the original. It doesn’t last long, and they did not give me back the original Apple battery. I now plan to go to Apple to have my phone properly opened and inspected – to check what they actually did, what parts they replaced, and whether they caused any internal damage. I should have gone to Apple from the beginning. It would have been more expensive, yes, but far less stressful – and far more professional. What upset me the most was their disrespectful attitude. I was talked down to, dismissed, and not taken seriously at all. After I left, someone I know walked into the shop – and shortly afterward, the staff made comments clearly aimed at me. There is no doubt in my mind that they gossiped about me. That’s not only unprofessional, it’s disgusting. To be clear: I had previously had good experiences with this store – but the entire team has changed. The friendly, respectful staff I trusted are gone. These new people are arrogant, dishonest, and only interested in profit. If you’re a woman, I especially urge you to stay away. If you own an iPhone, go to Apple or an authorized service provider. It might cost a little more, but in the end, it will save you time, stress, and damage – to your phone and your dignity.
When I bought my scooter from Mike Hopkins Motorcycles, I was not allowed to test ride it beforehand. However, I was assured that I could return it anytime and they would buy it back with almost no loss – that promise played a big role in my decision to go through with the purchase. The scooter was brand new, and I paid over 80,000 Rand. Mark Livings, who handled the sale, came across as overly friendly, even uncomfortably so at times. He pushed hard to get me into the system as a registered client and also made several personal advances, accompanied by exaggerated compliments, false promises, and flirty behavior that crossed the line. The scooter was delivered with multiple scratches on the floorboard area. I didn’t say anything at the time, thinking it wouldn’t matter if they were going to buy it back later anyway. After only 300 km, I came back for the first service – and noticed more scratches on the front floorboard, which I definitely didn’t cause. Again, I remained silent. I was also promised the official COC (Certificate of Conformity) papers – which were never provided. After that, any discussion about the promised buy-back or the missing documents was quietly dropped, and no one followed up. In the end, I felt misled and taken advantage of – both emotionally and financially. I am now stuck with a vehicle I cannot use as intended, and there is no support from the dealership to resolve this. I would not recommend buying from this business – at least not while Mark Livings is still working there.
Warning: Do not buy, it's a ****! I purchased the so-called Elite Isolate Whey Protein for my husband, who is a Type 1 diabetic. Unlike Type 2 diabetes, which is often a result of lifestyle choices, my husband was born with this condition and has no control over it. He is an innocent victim of diabetes since childhood. Unfortunately, the claims made on this product are misleading. The ingredient list does not indicate that sugar is a main component. After trying it just twice, and only mixing it with water—not with any other foods—his blood sugar levels skyrocketed as if he had consumed pure sugar. Blood sugar doesn't lie, and this clearly shows that the product is packed with harmful industrial sugars. Additionally, the label states "Isolate Whey," which suggests it should be lactose-free. This is a significant issue since my husband follows a completely lactose-free and sugar-free diet. Not only did he experience an incredibly high blood sugar spike after consuming the product, but he also suffered the consequences of lactose intolerance, which he never experiences with high-quality, honest protein products. This resulted in severe digestive issues, including awful diarrhea. It’s disheartening to know that we cannot return the product. I feel cheated and angry, as this has negatively impacted my husband’s health. If I could give this product zero stars or negative stars, I would. I am truly outraged by this kind of deception. I strongly advise against purchasing this product, as it poses serious health risks not only for diabetics but for anyone looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle. PSN lifestyle products are loaded with sugar. Unfortunately, they cannot be returned at Takealot, which is very frustrating because the products do not match the descriptions provided.
I’d like to add that my initial impression of Swedespeed was not positive, particularly due to my interactions with a staff member named Allan. While I have always appreciated Volvo cars for their quality, I found Allan to be subtly aggressive, which made my experience uncomfortable. This is just my personal impression, and I understand that others may have different experiences. If someone is happy with their service there, I respect that. However, I have had several unpleasant encounters, especially considering that I travel from Langebaan to Montego Gardens just to have my car serviced. I’ve spent a significant amount of money there, yet the service has been lacking. On one occasion, they even returned my car to me dirty, without any cleaning, and when I raised the issue, I was met with an unhelpful and aggressive attitude, as if I were making unreasonable demands. Moreover, they charged me for services that were not completed. For example, I wanted to code a key for my Volvo V50, as I only had one key when I purchased the car. I bought a blank key and had it cut beforehand. They assured me they could program the remote, but after charging me 1,800 Rand, they failed to do so. I felt it was unacceptable to be charged for work that was not completed, especially since they left my car dirty with greasy fingerprints inside. I take pride in keeping my car clean, regardless of its age, and I expect the same level of respect for my vehicle. It seems that Swedespeed does not share this appreciation for well-maintained cars, nor do they seem to value their customers equally. If they have enough clients and continue to thrive, I wish them the best, but I certainly will not be among them anymore. It’s clear they do not prioritize retaining me as a customer, and that speaks volumes about their service.
Top top top !! Many thanks to Affinity Health for all the help and support through your kind team in the last 2 years. I am a member since over 2 years already with Affinity health and they always helped me. I am 50, female and I pay R1847 p.m. covered for hospital plan and day to day medical, GP and specialist. They pay my medication and they was never letting me down. I even had to go to hospital and the never charged me anything more than my monthly costs. I am so happy with Affinity and glad, to be a member. I trust them and I am definitely going to stay with them. The only difference to a medical aid is, I need to get a pre authorisation number before I go to my GP or Hospital, but that is uncomplicated via WhatsApp chat. They got qualificated nurses and doctors, very kind and helpful. Sometimes I got a scibt for medication directly and I didn't need to go to the GP that was very helpful to me. Because I saved time and effort. All in all I am very happy with Affinity Health. Therefore I can only give full five stars ***** 👍🏻
Absolutely ridiculous and pathetic. All I can say is stay away from Discovery. Expensive and bad. The whole system is completely opaque and nobody actually knows about it. Affinity Health is by far the best health insurance company I have ever used! I pay R1847 and for the same coverage discovery charges OUTRAGEOUS R4500 which is no better and the phone service is a rip off. My husband wanted to convince me that I should switch to his health insurance, he is with Discovery, I was in a 1 1/2 hour conversation and after all private details were asked and I was first assured of a monthly contribution of 3100, it was said after 90 minutes all of a sudden it would be 4500 monthly. I call that bull****. I've been with Affinity Health for over 2 years and have never been dissatisfied, the only drawback is that you always need authorization before you can go to the doctor or the hospital. But you can do that via WhatsApp and it's uncomplicated. Affinity is honest and reliable. So stay away from Discovery Health, it's just expensive and has NO ADVANTAGES. Better save the money for something useful.
Doesn’t work. I created a account, put all my personal informations in and Bank account. Ordered the SIM card at takealot, fetched the SIM card at a pickup point, went home and tried to activate the sim card online. After all the efforts, they tell me, I must get another SIM card and I need to confirm my Adress at the home affairs. Bad joke! I feel like I was bull****ted :‘-(
