Stopped by last night for some dessert. Waited one hour. When we said we leaving quickly 2 plates were presented. This must have been the worst ever tiramisu i ever tasted. Actually didnt eat it. The cheesecake my partner ordered was equally bad.
I went into the Gateway sore on 26 Nov to do a sim upgrade as there were black friday specials running. I was told that an upgrade can only be processed after an amendment of month id done by the head office. The assistant completed the relevant docs and emailed the request to the head office whilst i was in the store. Since the 26th Nov till today 4th Dec, i called the store on numerous occassions regarding the upgrade. Each time i was told that the head office had not yet processed the end of month. I also called customer care and they could not assist as the back office which is supposed to do the amendment of month has not done its job. Tomorrow is 5th Dec when the special ends. So it looks like i will not get it due to no fault of mine. The incompetence of Cell C in admin and processing upgrades is shocking. Makes me wonder if the offer of specials is a big scam whereby the company has no intention of fulfilling special offers advertised.

Worst service level ever, would rate 0 if there was such as rating. Since 1 May 2021 been trying to get a new phone which was given to me as a gift, network unlocked. It is locked onto the Cell C network. The website states that if a phone is unlocked before 12 months then a charge of R150 applies for unlocking and that it takes 2 days. Bought a sim, loaded R150 airtime and made the request for unlock through a Cell C store. No luck first time round, then started the numerous calls to the customer centre. Twice they lost my phone IMEI numbers that was given to them. Thereafter each time i called i was told the matter is being escalated to the supervisor etc and that an email is being sent to the department responsible for unlocking. After 6 calls/attempts i have given up. This company has no intention, it would seem, to unlock the phone. This makes the information on their websites as misleading. Having read others similar complaints also reaffirms my views that Cell C simply does not care about its customers.
