Jacques from Outsurance provided me with awesome service today. Bought a second hand car and needed to add it to my policy. Jacques took initiative to get all information from dealer and manufacturer and phoned me with a quote within two hours. Always friendly and courteous. Well done Jacques!!!
Entered into a 24 month fibre contract with MWEB in February 2023. At that time there was a special on of R549 for first six months and then R689 for the remaining period. However, to date I have had 2 additional increases of R50 each bringing my new monthly charge to R789. The 24 month contract is meaningless as after you have signed on MWeb can implement whatever increases they like. Having previously had contacts with Vodacom and Telkom, the subscription you sign on for is what you are charged for the entire twenty four months. I will never deal with Mweb again once my contract runs out, suggest you don't also.
Moved from Durban to Cape Town with this company in January 2023. Bulls Removals charged me for services not rendered and did not include an interim payment of R3000 on their final invoice. This resulted in Bulls Removals owing me approximately R3 800. It is now two months and I cannot get my monies refunded. Paul consistently ignores my emails and phone calls. Based on the final amount that I paid to this company, I should just have used Pickfords like I did previously and got services that was a hundred times better. My advice is to stay far away from this company if you value your possessions and your money.
Moved from Durban to Cape Town on 9 January 2023. Bulls Transport incorrectly invoiced me for services not offered, and excluded an interim payment of R3000 made previously. This resulted in Bulls Transport owing me approximately R3 800. It is now almost 2 months and Paul consistently ignores my emails and telephone calls. Based on the amount that my final bill came to I could just as well have taken Pickfords who gave me excellent service previously. The standard of service is extremely poor and I wouldn't suggest any one waste their time with this company.
Installed a new fibre connection in Mid january 2023. Offer was R509 for six months and then normal rate of R689 for the remaining 18 months. It is now two weeks and I have just received an email notification that due to "supplier increasing charges" the rate from 1 February 2023 is not R509, but your guessed it R689. The only reason I signed on with Mweb was because of the cheaper rate for the six months. This is obviously false advertising and I will be reporting this company to the advertising ombudsman. My advice stay away from Mweb!! Was previously with Telkom openserve or over five years without any issues. Regret changing companies.
I don't think this will get any response from the Dept of Home Affairs being one of the most dysfunctional government departments in South Africa. But I just have to vent my frustration somewhere. I registered online for a new identity document for my son, with the hope that I would be able to avoid the insane queues and do it at my Standard Bank branch in Durban. I registered on the 24 of August 2021 and it is now the 16 September and I am still trying to book a time slot online. I have been trying at least once a day, everyday . I keep getting a "no bookings available" message. So I thought let me try in the middle of the night, may be I will have better luck. Wouldn't you know it, the OTP system is always turned off so that I cannot log on. It is now 4:30 am on 16 September as I type this and I still cannot get an OTP. This happens every time when I try and log in between 12 am and 6am. The surprising thing is that I can always find a time slot in Cape Town or Johannesburg but never in Durban. My suspicion is that someone in the Durban Home Affairs office is selling booking slots which is why they are never available. Looks like I will have to go and face the insane queues at the Home Affairs office on of the days.
placed an order for a new fibre line online. Received a call the same day to confirm order. Fibre installed within five days and activated immediately with no problems. Well done Steven and Adelaide who installed. Friendly and efficient.
