I sent a cancellation request and the cancellation form on 20 June 2024 for my policy to be cancelled. I saw on 1st August that there was 2 premiums requested from my bank account. I phoned in again and spoke to a lady Emma and asked her to cancel the policy and sent the email again where she confirmed she received the email and will send it to the relevant department. a week later I received an email to confirm a re-debit will be requested to phone in and it is confirmed to me that the policy will only be cancelled within 7-10 days. I want this policy cancelled with immediate effect as I requested this already 20th June 2024.
I received the 6th March 2024 a notification that I owe Discovery money. I paid the amount over to them the same day and confirmed per email that I couldn't make the payment into the account they confirmed but I used the Discovery Health Membership account and provided them with the proof of payment. I followed 28th March 2024 and they still didn't allocate the payment. I was provided with an alternative email address to send the proof of payment. 2 week later I phoned in again nothing I was on the phone for 40minutes but still not feedback I couldn't hold longer and had to put the phone down. Also to mention I am not even in South Africa anymore. This is ridiculous. Please reply per email as I am not in South Africa anymore.
I phoned in 2 weeks ago to query my new contribution on my medical aid. 223505321. I spoke to Sinedile Ref: 9484316087 and requested her when my contribution will be amended to the new plan. I didnt receive any feedback until today and when I try to phone Discovery I get cut off the whole time.
I am waiting now day 4 no feedback regarding my query on the claim that was rejected. after 14 Years with Discovery this is the service I get..... Disgusting to say the least make promises that they can't keep. Maybe I must look for another medical aid?
I spoke to someone about 2 - 3 weeks ago regarding the payment for the PMB application that the dr request. He only told me then that I can claim that amount back from Discovery. I then went back to my old claims and I did notice that Discovery declined the claim of last year that they had to pay for the application. Now my question is why do the Call Centre told me that I can claim the payment but yet Discovery decline the claim. I did send an email with all the details and the Statement and proof of payment. This is really horrible service.

I PHONED THE 24TH JANUARY 2022 TO CANCEL MY DSTV PACKAGE AND THE LADY THAT ASSISTED ME CONFIRMED THAT THERE WILL BE NO DEBIT FOR 1 FEBRUARY 2022 AND THAT MY SERVICES WILL BE DEACTIVATED 1ST FEBRUARY 2022. JUST TO FIND TONIGHT THAT THE DEBIT ORDER WAS DEDUCTED AND NOW ONE OR 2 DEBIT ORDERS IS GOING TO BE RETURNED. THIS IS NOT LOOKING GOOD ON MY NAME JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS NOT DOING THEIR WORK. I WANT THE BANKING CHARGES TO BE PAID BACK INTO MY ACCOUNT FOR THE RETURNED DEBITS. THIS IS BEYON PATHETIC
I am now sick and tired of this with Discovery. I received a letter to confirm that my medical aid will be billed in arrears again just to find when I logged in on the app they say there are an outstanding amount on my medical aid. How can this be after I received the letter from Discovery. Someone is not doing their work or make notes. I want this sorted out as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!

I called on the 21st October 2021 to arrange that my medical aid must be paid again in arears it was approved by the team leader but when I phoned in today they confirmed to me that the debit order will be for 1st December 2021 and that is not what was discussed the 21st October 2021. Notes were made on the system but the instruction was never done. I am so annoyed with this
