Pathetic service! My delivery of chairs was promised on three different dates and on all three dates the driver apparently ran out of time. I had to make a few phone calls to find out about my delivery. I have also emailed the company to two different email addresses to inform them of the delayed delivery and poor service, but have not received any response. The worst is how damaged the packaging was in which my chairs arrived. The one box was dented and torn and half the tape was off.
I have purchased a Lego Marvel The Eternals in Arishem’s shadow (76155) online through Takealot. This was a Christmas present for my son. On opening the gift on Christmas Eve, the incorrect product was inside the box. A completely different set of Lego’s was inside the box. My son was looking forward to his Christmas gift and was extremely disappointed to find the wrong product inside. This was supposed to be an original Lego product (price of product was similar to that in the Lego Store), so how did this product pass the rigorous quality standards? In addition, on returning the product to the Takealot Warehouse on 26 Dec 2021, no apology was given. The person whom served me made me feel like I was at fault. On 27 Dec 2021 my Takealot profile still shows “Awaiting product for evaluation” even though I have returned it to the Takealot Warehouse. I have contacted Takealot via email to follow up and was initially given a generic response, even though I have explained my problem in detail. I’ve responded to this mail again and was informed that the person will escalate my query to the relevant department . I am extremely frustrated with the product purchased through and service received from Takealot.
I went to MTN Canal Walk on Friday, 15 Oct 2021 around 18:30 to obtain a new sim card plus package. Firstly, I had to wait for about an hour to be served since only two staff members were available at the time. The third person decided to go on lunch/ break even though the shop was very busy at the time. I’ve signed the contract and was informed that it would take a maximum of 24hrs for the number to be activated. On Saturday evening, I was still not connected. I went back to the MTN Canal walk store on Sunday to enquire and was told to wait another few hours since there was a delay. I’ve visited MTN Canal Walk on the following days and times and was everytime given the run around, and up until now am not connected to the network: 15 Oct - Evening (initial application) 17 Oct - Afternoon and Evening (report problem and request feedback) 18 Oct - Afternoon and Evening (report problem and request feedback) 19 Oct - Morning (report problem and request feedback) I’ve wasted time and numerous trips to this store but with no success. I’ve spoken to the Store Manager as well, yet no luck. I’ve threatened to cancel this contract, but was told that this can only be done by the Regional Manager. Today, 20 Oct 2021, five days later than my application, my new cell number was still not activated. I have been a loyal client to MTN since its existence, but will cancel all my contracts because of this pathetic service! No one seems to be interested in nor have the competence to resolve my problem!
