---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Tshepo Makgoro <tshepomakgoro70@gmail.com> Date: Tue, 21 Dec 2021, 20:55 Subject: Complaint - Dispute repudiated claim To: <angelamhlanga@standardbank.co.za> Cc: <compliance@hollard.co.za> Goodevening Angela Mhlanga I hope this email finds you well. The service from Standard Bank Insurance has been overwhelmingly dissapointing.A decision to reject my claim is unwarranted and unacceptable. My policy incepted (10/06474825) on the 15 August 2019. I was under the impression that my vehicle was covered for accident damages due to the following reasons. REASON 1 - ACCIDENT I was involved in an accident on 21 November 2020 and my claim was approved ,authorisation was send to the panelbeaters to fix the car. The quantum of the claim was R86000.00 and the repairing of my car definitely accentuated the fact that i was comprehensively covered. No one contacted me to alert me that I was properly covered. REASON 2 - ACCIDENT DAMAGE TO WINDSCREEN I am not sure about the incident date. My windscreen was replaced and I have paid the motor glass specialist excess of R500.00.This also accentuated the fact that I was comprehensively covered. REASON 3 - RECORDED CONVERSATIONS ON CURRENT INCIDENT My son was involved in an accident on the 31 October 2021 and validations on the claim were completed. I received a call from Connie Mabunda who informed me on a recorded line that my claim had been approved and she discussed the breakdown of payment, excess and additional excesses . She then advised me that the payment of R153000.00 will be paid into my bank account and the payment would reflect in two/three working days. She called me on tuesday and informed me that I don't have a valid claim as I took a third party cover instead of comprehensive cover. Thia totally took me by surprise as I had two claims prior which were covered and approved without any hassles,in my mind i was covered for accidental damage as a precedence was set when the two claims were approved. There were also recorded conversations with the current claim advising how my claim will be settled and covered. My plea is for these to be relooked into as it is unfair and has prejudiced me greately.Looking into TCF I believe it is the insurer's obligation to cover my claim as a precedence was created that I was covered for prior accidental damages. As this matter is urgent ,I would appreciate a reply as soon as possible. Kind Regards Ms Tshepo Ellaine Makgoro
