Kessel Motors CBD, 60 Loop Street. What a rip-off! And management won't care. I had been taking my car there for years, thinking, OK there's always something 'extra' I have to pay for... but now I've finally drawn the last straw! A few services ago the whole boot smelled like petrol and no one had an answer as to why. I can only imagine they were either siphoning it out or transporting. Management just apologised. It took weeks to get rid of it. There have been a few services in between that have definitely been questionable! The latest service was it for me. I signed up for a minor service which I later costed out at R1,200 maximum at a few other places. NOPE, they charged me a whopping R4,385! The floor manager didn't have any come back when I questioned it, and the manager Sandra blew up on the phone at me. They also put on a cool 5KM on my clock! Their answer was 'We had to test-drive it'. Test drive for a minor service... and 5KM? That's quite a distance, Canal Walk and back at least. They thought I wouldn't pick it up, but I took pics of my speedometer prior to the service. Bust. Avoid this place, it's an absolute rip! They know once you drive in they've got you and will always find a way for you to leave paying around 3X more.
My personal experience with GetWorth was nothing short of superb, start to finish – from meeting Jaydee the sales person, to being kept informed throughout the process, to finally taking ownership of the car... all in the space of a few days. You really do feel like you are the only customer being seen to. Thanks to the whole team at GetWorth for taking the hassle, stress and guesswork out of buying a car. Finally, a place where the quality you see on their showroom floor is the quality you get out, in both staff and vehicle.
You would have seen my review earlier about Faber Coachworks in Monatgue Gardens. To expand on this, they still haven't called me to let me know what the status of my vehicle is now that it has been 3 months. Expect to do all the legwork yourself, calling asking, constantly trying to get anything out of them. Another thing you can expect is their stock-standard reply to a bad review which reads as follows: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We truly apologize for your unpleasant experience with us. This matter has been escalated to our executive team whom shall be in contact with you. Kindest Regards, Farber Coachworks Rest assured, nothing will be done to rectify a situation from their side. It is all smoke and mirrors at the expense of the customer. Good luck!
Don't go to Faber Coachworks unless you have time for bad service, zero communication and a policy of over-promise/under-deliver. They have had my car for 3 months, can you believe it. JP, the manager has made numerous promises of which none have been kept and to this date I have no idea yet about the quality of the repair itself. I have been in constant contact, trying to get updates but they keep lying about where the repair is in the process. After months I was told that I can come collect the car, so got an Uber through to their branch, late on a Friday only to be told it is STILL not ready! Come Monday morning, no follow-up call to apologise and try deliver asap either. You'd think it would be a priority at this rate, but they fail to see the importance to the customer. ****s and charlatans quite honestly. I can't believe that they are a preferred supplier to Santam, clearly underhanded dealings going on and kick-backs, especially when Santam's quote is literally half of their own quote which comes to a whopping R147k! I will definitely be taking this up with insurance and escalating this matter. Reading the bad reviews here it seems many have been absolutely disappointed by both the service and the quality of workmanship. Happy to give a full account of the process to anyone who wishes to contact me.
Never work with Malcolm Povey. A highly unprofessionally operated individual 'architect'. I don't know how SACAP has not barred him from the industry. He cannot get the simplest of designs right (4hrs on Zoom just to drag corners and blocks on plan). But the worst is you'll never hear from him on email, Wapp, Telegram, you name it. Expectyour plans to tak 2 years and add council to that. Try to get hold of this 'professional service' for any answers, from: Where's my plan, to What are the next streps, You still haven't answered. I honestly don't know how anyone at this very basic level can even call themselves a business. Contact me, I have all the one-way conversation emails to prove it. Regards, Brian Bainbridge
Bronwyn at ECH will produce a good enough art canvas, but don't expect anything on time. When confronted about a week-late delivery she claimed that the courier is not her responsibility. If you as the customer isn't arranging a courier after being promised one by the producer, who's responsibility is it? I won't use them again.
