I bought a 2014 Toyota RAV 4 from Toyota George end of January 2025 this year. I live in Cape Town so the Car sales man arranged for a video call so he can show me the car (you sometimes miss things on the photos). He highlighted some minor scratches and missing paint on the front door sills (common RAV 4 issue) that he assured that they will sort out before delivering the car to me in Cape Town. They luckily did a service and 65 Point check before they arranged for their driver to deliver the car to me in Cape Town. Even sent me a photo of the driver 07H45 the morning on the day of delivery ,over Whatsap ,car ETA being 13H30. I gave my works pin / address ( if delivery is before 5PM )and home ‘s pin/address if delivery is going to be after 5PM. The Sales person assured me the car will be delivered at my work place before 5PM and I should not worry. After several phone calls to the sales person and the actual driver the car arrived at my work place after 6 PM . I saw that they did not spray the front door sills of the car (as promised) there were further scratches on the front doors, the car was empty and the one tyre had a slow puncture. When I got home I saw that there were 6 dents on the cars roof, cigarette burns in the car (previous owner was a smoker) all never mentioned or shown on the video call I had with the Sales person. The cheapest panel beater quote I could find came to R 6352 (to fix the doors and door sills and roof). Toyota was willing to pay R 5000 with me having to pay the difference and provided me with a full tank of petrol. Within 6 months (09/07/2025) I took the car to Cape Gate Toyota for I picked up that there is a metal on metal sound now coming from the gear box area ( that happens now and again ) when I pulled away. They did an inspection and found that a “sticky clutch plate movement is the issue “that I had the replace the clutch and skim the Flywheel.The cost coming to R 16 850 to repair. I sent the info to the Sales person over Whatsap and phoned him and was told it is normal wear and tear and they will not assist me with the repairs. None of my previous cars ever had clutch issues caused by my driving style. I understand the car is a 2014 model but I expected the sales person or Toyota to provide full disclosure on (1) all the scratches and dents on the car (2) that the previous owner was a smoker and there is cigarette burns on the inside of the car. (3) expected Toyota to do the needed spray repairs as promised before the delivery of the car (4) expected Toyota to come to the party when regarding the R 16 850 clutch repair I don’t have money for within 6 months after buying the car. Was this too much to ask or expect from George Toyota?
All I can say is thank you to Nuraan and Darren at GetWorth in Richmond for the top service levels you guys provide . You guys really helped me in getting my car sold and all was done very professionally and in a quick/easy process .
If you need to change your company name from Bella La Legna to La Legna on FB so you can side track bad reviews and block any comments on FB it says a lot. Bella la Legna now called La Legna Welcome to my bad experience to a company that owes me my full refund : Worst customer service, non existent communication ,can't get hold of them via e-mail or the 4 cellphone numbers I was able to find .I ordered a headboard from them took a screen shot from their website of the headboard I want. Paid for the headboard 8 Nov and sent the POP via e-mail . 17 Nov the senior director contacts me if I am still going ahead with my order I was like I already paid for it so how can you ask me that . Then I asked them several times for the cost to deliver it in Strand . The 24st of Nov my order was ready so to speak and I was given the delivery cost at last .By the 1st of Dec I had to follow up again what is happening with my delivery . The 2nd of Dec I was asked to pick up the delivery myself ( this after I arranged for them to deliver ).Rented a Trailor for the Saturday drove from Strand to Killarney Gardens got there way to early the morning for the person that was suppose to meet me there . Got hold of someone eventually and was told the person can't come out anymore and they left the garage door unlocked at the Storage facility in Killarney gardens with my Queen size headboard in there . I was lost for words, somebody could have just open the garage and stole the headboard . I opened the garage door /storage unit saw a headboard sent a foto to the sales person and the screenshot again of what I ordered and what is standing in front of me . The head board in the unit looked like a cheap knockoff of what I ordered .I totally lost it for I wasted money on petrol , a Trailor and my Saturday morning . This after waiting almost a month for something I could have built in a few hours myself and I am no handy man . Then I was told they put the wrong order through and I can't get my money back for they already spent money on wood for my order. They want to fix the order and will deliver it free of charge . Then 2 weeks later still no word on my order . The 16th of Dec I demanded to get my money back and was told it will happen on 20th of Dec . Since then I have been trying to get hold of them via e-mail ,phoning 4 numbers ,via Whatsap , Facebook messenger and nobody answers or come back to me . They have time to post new Fotos on their Facebook page during that time can't answer a phone . All I want is my money back and never to work with them again !!!!! Customer service makes or breaks a small company and this is no way to treat customers .
