Very poor service, at least as far as their Durban operation is concerned. Twice we received an email from them that our package was out for delivery and, in spite of having been at home on both days, no one showed up, and no one phoned either. I did contact them directly. The first time they hung the phone up, the second time they told me the driver would still deliver today, but nothing happened. Surprised this company is still in business.
I purchased an iPhone 15 pro max 512g online from iStore. My order was accepted, I paid the price in full, and received an email confirmation. A few days later, after hearing nothing more, I queried the order, only to be told that the phone I had ordered was no longer available in South Africa. So I downgraded to the 256g version and was told that I would receive a partial refund of R5k. I received email confirmations and while the phone was received, the partial refund was never paid. I have phoned the iStore several times and am always told to give it a few more days. In the meantime something like 14 working days have passed - nothing doing.
Very poor service in the Durban area. We were expecting a delivery and nothing was received. Their tracking website was not updated and when I finally managed to get hold of the company by phone (three times the line was disconnected after I selected the option 2 of their greeting message), I was told that the driver attempted delivery, and could also not get hold of me by phone. Completely dishonest. I had no missed calls and three people were present on our premises all day.
As a long standing Takealot customer, the day came where we ordered something that was not delivered. Takealot ignored the issue. It was a small article but it's the principle of the matter. We will avoid Takealot in future if in any way possible.
We ordered something from Manicaa at the beginning of November. They never delivered, do not answer phones nor respond to emails. They also did not return the money. Surprisingly, Hellopeter removed my comment when I first reported our experience.
Whatever you do, avoid Manicaa at all cost. We ordered something on the 8 November, they never delivered, they did not return the money, and they never answer the phone nor respond to emails. Why Manicaa is still allowed to operate is beyond me.
