The person assisting me was focused on me as a customer.
My wife purchased a new Audi TTS from Audi east Rand in South Africa in March 2021. The day we drove the car of the new sales floor, the brakes screeched. The car has been in and out of the service workshops over a 2 year period to resolve the annoying screeching brake noises At first we were told that the brakes need to wear in therefore the noises. We then complained that it still exists. The car was taken in and the weights were upgraded, brakes cleaned and put back. The noise reoccurred. This was done again and the same screeching noise still occurred. We were then told that maybe wait until the brakes need to replaced as it could be that the brake pads were not 100% When the brakes came up for replacement, it was replace and the noise still occurred. Booked into workshops again, the brakes was shamphered and cleaned and assembled. The noise still occurred. It was booked in again and I was told that maybe the bedding process was not done correctly. The brake discs and brake pads were replaced and apparently the bedding process was done correctly. The noise still occurred. It was booked in again, brakes removed cleaned and assembled, noise still occurred. It was then booked in again, brake discs and brakes pads replaced again. Lasted with no noise for a week, then the noise appeared again The response from Audi SA is embarrassing to say that this is acceptable for a million rand car. In my opinion Audi SA does not want take responsibility for a car that has a defect which needs to be resolved by Audi In spite of us being repeatedly inconvenienced, I have been patient over the last two years, giving Audi SA the opportunity to resolve the problem, but with no resolution. We have had the most embarrassing experiences, driving the vehicle as people turn to look at us when we are driving the vehicle – especially when we are slowing down when approaching a traffic light or a stop street. Does Audi expect me to continue driving this vehicle, feeling utterly embarrassed? I am unable to accept this defective car. I have attached the Audi SA letter which I will post on social media advising them of the service from Audi South Africa. The response from Audi South Africa is nothing short of laughable. The feedback we received prior to this letter was “tell the client to break hard and then she won’t hear the sound” I drive an Audi Q7. I have convinced my wife to buy an Audi TTS (from driving a Mercedes). With Audi not taking responsibility for this defect, I surely will reconsider my future vehicles to other brands
Jesarnique Meyer was very helpful. Had may claim sorted out within 4 hours the same day. Awesome service Thank you very much
I signed an offer to purchase a SLK Mercedes in Nov 2021. Dealt with Jabu. Finance approved. I was then told that they were awaiting the papers for the car as they had bought the car in the Auction. I had to wait 21 days. 21 days later I was told that no papers were received due to some issues that occurred and they were returning the car to the Auction house. Hence the car could not be sold. I called in today to speak to Jabu and was told he is not in today. I then inquired about the car in question and was told that they could not wait (for what I am not sure) and sold the car to someone else. This is after I had a signed an offer to purchase this car. These type of people should not be in business. This was totally unacceptable. I can now understand all the bad reviews given to Absolut Auto because they do operate as crooks. Do not support this dealership, you will be disappointed
