Audi South Africa
Based on recent customer reviews, Audi South Africa faces significant criticism across its dealership network. Recurring complaints centre on incorrect battery installations, unresolved mechanical defects including steering racks and mechatronics, and premature part failures on vehicles still under warranty. Poor after-sales communication is a dominant theme, with customers reporting unreturned calls, broken follow-up promises, and prolonged repair timelines spanning weeks or months. Several reviewers highlight warranty disputes where dealerships refused to honour coverage. While a few positive mentions praise individual staff members like Nathi Mncube and Karabelo Leboa, the overwhelming sentiment reflects deep frustration with service quality and accountability.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I have received regarding my vehicle. My car is currently waiting for parts that need to be ordered from the manufacturer through West Vaal Audi Centre. The vehicle has been waiting for these parts for over a month, and to date there is still no ETA provided. A few days ago, I sent an email to the team requesting an update on the expected delivery timeline, as this situation has already been ongoing for a long time. Unfortunately, even after four days, no one has responded to my email or provided any form of feedback. This level of communication and customer care is extremely disappointing and not what I expected from a brand like Audi. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I am currently paying for a new vehicle that I cannot use, and this has now been going on for close to two months. As a customer, I expect transparency, proper communication, and a reasonable effort to resolve this matter. At the very least, I should be provided with a clear update and ETA on the parts required to repair my vehicle.

I sent my AUDI Q5 which was under motoplan for brakes and disc replacement last year around August / Sept 2025 - Brakes were replaced , the squeaking started immediately after i got the car back but intermittently(VERY loud). Thought its new and the noise will stop eventually - after about 2000km still no going away , sent the car in for check and they cleaned it and , lasted all but a few days and then squeaking started again - thought lets leave it and make a long journey to durban and it should get sorted . fast forward to About 4000km later squeaking is worse than ever and now constantly , driving in wet , slow , fast , dry conditions - Escalate to AUDI and they assess and tell me , they cannot do anything but keep cleaning which means i must accept that i have an AUDI Q5 that recently cost me about 51k to renew the motoplan , I must accept the noise because i am not in my wear limit to replace the brakes with new ones . the assessment also says that due to driving conditions such as my driving or dust build up i must keep driving , a GERMAN car that suppose to pride itself in quality is telling me to accept a noise on a very expensive vehicle and if i cannot i must pay for the replacement - I cannot believe this , i have been a loyal customer of AUDI for many years but times have changed , i need to leave the brand now definitely.

Car has been back to Audi Claremont 6 times within 10 weeks for the same issue.During this time we have not been able to use the boot . The car is still on a maintenance plan. Escalating the issue to head office has not helped. Generally the staff are less than concerned about their customers - to be understated. And the communication is non existent - and the car in mostly is only ever very poorly cleaned Enough reasons to sell the car and never buy another Audi

I am a proud drive planner Audi A4 and an Audi S3. Audi is making money out of steering racks. My A4 had a steering rack changed in the past 3 years. Yesterday when I was starting the car, again the steering rack is defective. My fried when I recruited to buy the A4 and another one who's driving an A6 complained of the same. In my case it means I'll have the rack changed three times now! Oh no! This is pathetic! Audi needs to do something about it. I can't keep on replacing steering racks. Please Hellopeter step in to my rescue and alert fellow South Africans who aspire to own these not to...theyre *******. Pure *******. Of course they drive well but the steering rack part is very much upsetting.

I acquired a 2025 Audi A1 from Weelee in Dec 2025. A week later the front passenger grab handle failed and the hooks came off. I booked the car in for a service, which was due, and asked Sandton Audi dealer to fix the grab handle under Warranty. To my amazement i subsequently discover that they didnt actually repair it but did a temporary fix. Needless to say the handle failed again and i took it to Audi Sandton again and they refused to repair it under warranty. i then reached out to Audi South Africa and who took a similar stance after investigating with their dealer. The grab handle is not something that one can intentionally damage - it's there to serve a function - support an individual when entering or exiting a vehicle. So why is this not covered under warranty. i have also reached out to Weelee Centurion who i yet await a response from.

I will never buy an audi again, i can't remember a driving the A3 without going back to the delearship, the car has lots of defects, i reported this at audi Bryanston when i went for my service, when i was driving on a freeway the drivers door opened by itself because the road was uneven and ever since then i have been hearing a clicking sound when i open the drivers door today i noticed that it was the black shiny strip on the rear passenger, now it is pealing off just to show how cheap material is used on these cars!!
