My nephew went to the St John Eye Hospital, hoping that they would be willing to complete his classification form for blind cricket. The Protea team was invited to India at short notice and leaves next week. All our interactions with staff were friendly and we found the correct queue thanks to the directions we received. The opthalmologist was very professional and immediately realized that his rare eye condition needed regular checkups. Not only was his form completed, he has an appointment at the closest hospital to his place of residence, the Jhb Society for the Blind. What a pleasant surprise at the start of Friday.
To the bank R29,600 should be petty cash. To me, it is more than 1 month's salary and I saved up over months and raised funds to use in the Netherlands where we participated as Proteas in an international wheelchair dancing competition. Due to the theft of all the money saved in your bank, as I naively thought it was safe there, i and the persons who assisted us while overseas, are now ddeply in debt.. The *****ulent call came from a mobile phone which identified itself as Standard Bank and the caller claimed to be from Standard Bank ***** Division and clearly knew exactly what was in all my accounts. They also had my personal data linked to the account. As is standard practice in Standard Bank, they asked relevant personal verification questions that related to my banking and personal information. This was the same as every call I have had from Standard Bank before the introduction of the verification message. I hope this better explains what happened for my appeal. Standard Bank informed on Wednesday that they will not be reimbursing me at all, plunging me deeper into debt. Regards Erika Geerthsen
Very professional and insistent, as expected in this industry. Only concern is that I was told about the one off starter fee, but not the monthly fee.
