I called in for a quote and I was assisted by Lindiwe Spolo, she informative and patient and she explained every benefit to me so clearly.
After several attempts and requests for my contract to be cancelled. After a horrific reaction to Minoxidil, I am now being offered Trichosol by Hair Clinic International. I am now expected to pull up my big panties and take another risk with their product. Firstly, HCI did not inform me of the risks associated with their products Minoxidil, I was never asked if I have any Medical conditions, I was not asked to consult with my Medical Doctor. Nothing risk associated was ever discussed or communicated to me. The ONLY risk I was told about was massive Hair Growth Until I called Loren to tell of my symptoms was I then instructed to STOP Minoxidil. Secondly, their products DO NOT have Patient Information Leaflet (PIL). The little leaflet that provides essential information to patients about how to use the medication safely and effectively, dosage, SIDE EFFECTS, and contraindications and who should and should not use the product MISSING. The General Regulations made in terms of the Medicines and Related Substances Act, 1965 (Act 101 of 1965), require a Patient Informational Leaflet (PIL) to accompany each medicine (regulation 12). Also be informed that The Consumer Protection Act prohibits suppliers from forcing consumers to accept unwanted goods or services, yet HCI is forcing me to take Trichosol despite my fears, my mistrust, no confidence and, concerns about my Health. Under the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), consumers have the right to request a refund, particularly when goods are UNSAFE, defective, or UNSUITABLE for a particular purpose. Generally, a consumer can return goods and receive a refund within six months if they are UNSAFE or defective, or if they were not examined before delivery and do not meet expectations. The supplier is obligated to provide the chosen remedy, whether it's a refund, repair, or replacement, at their expense. The consumer, not the supplier, has the right to decide which remedy they prefer. A supplier cannot force a consumer to substitute a product against their will. The Consumer Protection Act (CPA) protects consumers from being coerced into substitutions or other unfair practices. Consumers have the right to choose what goods they want, and a supplier cannot manipulate them into accepting a different product. If you had a reaction from a product like I did you can also Lodge a Claim with NCC, Liability for Harm: The CPA states that producers, importers, distributors, or retailers are liable for any harm caused by their products due to supplying UNSAFE products or having Inadequate instructions or WARNINGS about hazards. I will keep you posted of progress
I went to consult on a Friday 2nd May, and everything went well. The following day my face was swollen, eye red and I had a fast heart beat which I couldn't understand. I immediately sent Loren a message thinking it was the laser and she advised me to stop using the spray Minoxidil. I was bed ridden, dizziness and short breath. I received a message from Loren, asking to wait until Monday to see how I recover, Monday came and my eyes were still swollen and I had to cancel my meetings because I looked like Charlie's bride. I then asked her to cancel the contract because clearly the product was not agreeing with me and worst I cant afford to not be available for work because I'm in Financial Advise. Loren then asked me to consult with my Doctor to see if I can maybe change to PRP treatment, this was confusing to me by the way because I declined PRP treatment initially because I cant handle needles. Anyway she insisted that I consult with my Doctor to see if I was a good candidate for PRP, well my Doctor said one of the risks is nerve damage and headaches etc. and she would rather I didn't embark on anything for now also because of other issues. I'm 49 years and in pre menopause with bad migraines the last thing I need is more medical complications. I again asked her to cancel the contract. She then informed me she will speak to management and that was on the 4th May and still nothing from them. I wish I was told of the side effects of the product Minoxidil. I wish they told me of how severe the side effects maybe and not assume everyone is the same. I just wan the contract cancelled and refunded.
I have tried contacting Payflex via email, landline and WhatsApp and it has been the most frustrating experience of my life. No one responds to emails and no one takes calls. They are so pathetic with service and they make sure they don't respond so that you miss payment and they charge you more. I bought a battery and I was credited because I handed over the old battery, the company credited my account and it meant my last premium with Payflex would be 70 instead on R374. I happen to miss the said premium and they loaded me with R85 which I dont mind. However when I go to settle this I AM NOW SUPPOSE TO PAY 374 THE SAME PREMIUM. I tried getting hold of these people and I cant.
Natasha Johnston was excellent, friendly and saved me a lot of money :)
