I have never felt this cheated. I paid a deposit of R7500 at Waverley Square and I only received a refund of R2500. I cannot believe such, and when the agent came for the check out inspection, she mentioned the walls need painting. How can painting walls cost R5000. In a 2 bedroom apartment. Given I kept those walls good for 2years, no drilling. The cracks were there when I moved in. This is unacceptable, really unacceptable. Will take this far because this is really unacceptable.

I got a contract SIM card from MTN for 220Gb for R399 a month and I was advised I am able to cancel free of charge within 10 days of receiving the sim card . However on receiving the sim card I realized it is not compatible with my router, hence I tried to cancel the contract within the 10 days. When I called I was put on hold for hours, hence I decided to walk into the MTN offices. On arriving they collected the sim card, that was day 5 of my having the sim card, and they insisted they will send it through to their head offices and as soon as they receive it the cancellation will be processed. I was then told that they will help me with a tracking number from their courier company, and this number will be important when I call the customer service number when doing a follow-up. I was told the number will be given to me in 2 days, it has been 15 days and this number has not been generated. Regardless of all this I kept calling customer services without the number so that the issue could be finalized before the 10 days elapsed. When I eventually got hold of them on Saturday they told me that they do not offer the contract cancellation service during weekends and I asked them since day 10 is fast approaching, do they include weekends and holidays even though their offices are closed, and they told me since the contract cancellation offices are closed on weekends and holidays, the 10 days will be only be for working days. As soon as the first working day approached I called again and now I was told that my contract cannot be cancelled by MTN, rather I should call MONDO. I did not even know who these MONDO people were as I thought I was only dealing with MTN. I called MONDO and they told me that the 10 days for my free cancellation has elapsed as their company is open on weekends and holidays. How was I supposed to know all this since the MTN people told me that weekends and holidays do not apply. The MONDO guys referred me back to MTN and the MTN people told me I have to pay R500 and something as an early cancellation fee. I told them that the sim card has been with them since day 5 of my receiving it, and I have been trying to cancel this contract before then. I told them I did not even use a single byte on that sim card, but they still insisted I pay or else the debit order will go off. I could not accept this hence they transferred me back to MONDO. At MONDO they told me I should send proof that I tried to cancel the contract within the 10 days and they can not accept call logs which I made to MTN as proof. The inconvenience this whole ordeal has caused me is too much. I then went back to the MTN offices for some proof that I did come in their offices and I did submit the sim card and I did ask to cancel my account. It has been 11 days driving up and down and waiting for this proof which is needed for the cancellation. This morning I received a message telling me that a debit order of R651.70 will be deducted on 01.05.2022 from my account. How could this be. MTN is trying to rob me, how can they charge for a sim card that has not been active and worse of a sim card that is with them. This lack of communication between their offices is mind boggling. I am extremely disappointed with MTN and if anyone is to ask me of my experience with their service, its just terrible. I will keep posting my story until I am fairly treated and this whole issue is sorted.
