For those who managed to read my first review of this company which I posted on the 12th March 2026 and then was abruptly removed for reasons that sounded more like "#platformcapture" than anything else. This is a follow up of what transpired in the first 18hrs of my review. We received communication (legitimate and not telephonic) from Prime apologising for the BAD EXPERIENCE regarding the repair of our vehicle.Which we accepted and appreciated. What they failed to do was to mitigate the experience in anyway shape or form. They informed us that the matter is being investigated and that this investigation would take between 10 to 42 days, suffice to say that im actually not interested in there internal processes after the experience we had with them. We are exploring the WATCHDOGS of this industry and have already decided which one we will engage to resolve this matter.
Stay away from Prime. They are the most *********** insurer I have dealt with.Initially my vehicle was scheduled to go in for repairs on the 28th Jan 2025.A day or 2 before we received an email saying that there were 2 parts on back order and that the repair has been moved to the 23rd Feb 2025.The first signs of there incompetence was when we were asked to inform the repairer of the parts on back order(which we later found out was a blatant lie) and to change the date for the repairs to commence on the 23Feb 2026.On the 22nd Feb 2026 we received a call from Prime to say that the parts has arrived and that repairs could EVENTUALLY commence. The vehicle has been at the repairer up until today.Today we received a call from Prime to say that there were parts on back order and that the vehicle would only be done by the 09th April 2026.Dealing with Prime has become like a NIGHTMARE literally. Its like a bad dream. In the mean time my wife is having to spend almost a R1000 a week on Uber and they have not even reached out to us to apologise or anything that would mitigate our truly pathetic experience we having with them(Prime).I have looked at my legal options and will pursue them diligently. My advice even to repairers is to think carefully before you accept work from Prime and take my experience as the benchmark of their incompetence.I will even go as far as to say that Prime should be banned form the Insurance industry.Hence my preparation to submit a complaint to the Ombudsman and to explore other options.
Stay away from Dischem Health. There levels of incompetence cannot be measured.Still waiting for my reimbur*****t after close to 2 months now. There reimbur*****t submission process is putrid to say the least.
I spoke Laiekah and was very impressed with her professionalism and patience.Well done Laiekah.
I would like to write a review about Wingfield Motors
Friendly and efficient and very affordable.I have recommended Elixi to friends and family.
Extremely disappointed in PMD, specifically in how they managed my claim and how they continue to deliver appalling service with reference to my third party pay out.It does not surprise me and I'm sure others that they do not have an email address to log complaints. 1.I waited a week after my vehicle was assessed to go to the repairer. 2.Waited 2 weeks for a repair that should have taken a week. 3.After receiving my vehicle from the repairer I took it back as the workmanship done by the repairer was below standard. 4.I paid an excess amount of R2995.00 and was promised that I would get this money back as soon as the monies was procured from the third party. 5.I was then informed by PMD that I would only be receiving an amount of R1010.00. 6.I consulted with the Ombudsman for short term insurance who made if crystal clear thats this was ******* and that I was entitled to the full amount of the amount i paid in excess. 7.So far I have not received any meaningful communication from my claims administrator other than the numerous attempts I had to make. 8.I have exercised a generous measure of patients with PMD and I have concluded that there is defnitely lack of quality service and a high level of incompetence.
I needed authorisation to see my Gp and was contacted by a very friendly and professional Rhinda Mincher who assisted me and reminded me that i needed to listen to my wife when it came to not lifting heavy things.
My query was resolved professionally and very efficiently.Extremely happy with PMD.
