Went there in August saw Dr Essack, although my teeth are in a bad condition, I requested a quote for restorations, he told me that because of the state of my teeth, restorations might not hold break so it would be a risk, isn't the risk for me to take as a patient? He told me it's best to do implants which would cost about R400k?? And was very quick to remind me that they are a very reputable practice that mainly deals with exclusive dental issues like smile restorations, basically hinting that they only really cater for the very wealthy, made me feel very uncomfortable and very self conscious during the exam telling me all the decay etc that I have, as if I didn't know, he promised to think about what can be done and to give him a week to email me, it's now the 21st of October, still waiting for the email, it seems they want to only treat minor problems for a lot of money, or simply push for implants or crowns at exorbitant costs!
I opened up a contract with them I think it was either March or April of 2020, purely for an IPHONE for my daughter, I kept the sim card in my phone. There was a 60 min call per month limit to this contact, no data deals. I was then retrenched in May of 2020, but continued to pay the monthly fee of approximately R560, cant remember exactly. On the 1st of Feb 2021 I found temporary employment, In March 2021, my phone was stolen out of my handbag, with the Vodacom sim card in it. I completely forgot about the sim card as the company I was working for provided me with a company phone, and I continued to pay the Vodacom the monthly contract fee. In April of 2020 I received my account statement with an amount of R10 000??, when I called to query this I found out that the person who had my stolen phone had used up data to the value of R10 000 in less than a week?? I still could not remember at that stage what had even happened to the sim card I just completely forgot, I started receiving endless calls from VODACOM, I had to explain my story to about over 10 different people every time that they called me, I used to receive at least 5 calls a day from 5 different people,I told every single person that fraud was committed on my contract, can you imagine explaining the story every day to so many people, and no one would make notes so I had to repeat myself all the time, eventually I stopped answering calls. I even emailed VODACOM an affidavit as per their request to justify my story, I sent an email informing them that there was fraud committed on my account. Even after I submitted everything they requested via email, I was receiving numerous calls from them again every day!! My question is, data availability was not even part of the contract and even if there was, none was used, I asked them to go back at the history and see that no data was used and how is it possible for someone to use up R10k of date in a week?, I never needed data, I had WIFI at work and home. Subsequently my employment contract ended at the end of Sep 2021 and I told a few of the VODACOM representatives that called me about that, they said that I need to pay at least 10% for the outstanding amount, I told them not until the fraud dispute has been resolved. Now they have handed me over to a collection company, but still no investigation has been done on how it was possible that my stolen phone with the sim card ran up a data bill of R10K??
I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF THEIRS SINCE 2018, WE MOVED IN JUNE, MY CONTRACT HAD ENDED IN 2020, SIGNED UP A NEW CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION AT OUR NEW ADDRESS, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE GOING TO SEND ME CANCELLATION FORMS FOR MY OLD ADDRESS, EVEN THOUGH MY CONTRACT HAD ENDED?? NEVER RECEIVED THE CANCELLATION DOCUMENTS, THEY DEBITED ME FOR JUNE, JULY AND AUG FOR THE OLD ADDRESS (MOVED OUT ON THE 1ST OF JUNE) AND DEBITED ME FOR THE NEW ADDRESS/ACCOUNT!! WHEN I QUERIED THIS, THEY SAID THAT IT'S BECAUSE I DIDN'T COMPLETE THE CANCELLATION FORMS, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DEBIT ME, THEY SHOWED ME PROOF THAT THEY SENT ME THE CANCELLATION FORMS, I SENT THEM A SCREEN SHOT OF MY INBOX AND SPAM FOLDER SHOWING THEM THAT I DID NOT RECEIVE THE CANCELLATION DOCS, THEY TOLD ME THAT I'M LYING AND THAT I DELETED IT BEFORE I SENT THEM THE SCREEN SHOTS!! I ASKED THEM TO GIVE ME TIME TILL THE END OF THE MONTH TO PAY THE OLD ACCOUNT, AS I DID NOT HAVE FUNDS WHEN THEY TRIED TO TAKE A DEBIT ORDER ON THE 15TH OF AUG, ALTHOUGH JUNE AND JULY WAS PAID FOR THE OLD AND NEW ACCOUNT, THEY SAID THAT THEY CANT GIVE ME ANY TIME AND THAT THEY WILL DISCONNECT MY NEW LINE IF I DON'T PAY THE OLD ACCOUNT. IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMER OF 4 YEARS?? THE WORST PART ABOUT THIS IS THAT I GAVE THEM AN EXCELLENT REVIEW ON THE 26TH OF JULY, BIG MISTAKE!! PLUS THE STAFF WERE ARROGANT AND YOU COULD PICK UP FROM THEIR VOICES THAT THEY DIDN'T CARE AS THEY JUST CARRIED ON REMINDING ME OF THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!, I SEE THERE ARE 50% GOOD REVIEWS AND ABOUT 53% BAD REVIEWS, NOT SURPRISED! AND THE RESPONSES FROM THEM "THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS TO OUR ATTENTION" BUT NO FURTHER COMMENTS FROM THEM TO ASSIST, WOW! DISGUSTING!!
