Let me tell you the answer ... You would think that if a company is providing you a protection service as CarTrack does, I would answer every call ??? I do but it is either a marketing call to sell me something or its the admin department to see if my details have changed (which they have not) . they call me almost every day and I have asked on numerous occasions to stop calling me for marketing. I NOW HAVE BEEN BLOCKING ALL THE CARTRACK NUMBERS ON MY PHONE .... I asked to Cancel my contract and CARTRACK want to charge me R 13 000 so they can stop harassing me.... surely there is some decency and respect a company affords it customers ???? clearly not at CARTRACK
Just over a week ago I installed a tracker and dash cam solution from Cartrack. The sales process went well and quickly after that the devices were scheduled for installation. Installation occurred and just after installation the camera was not working. The technician told me to leave it a few hours. The camera started working as advised. My initial problem was the camera would not retrieve recordings and it keeps falling off the windscreen. I called numerous times and was send from agent to agent with nothing resolved. Last week Friday the tracker stopped working and after calling numerous times it was established that the power connection was the issue (no body else has worked on the car or serviced it) . When the tracker stopped working, the camera also went offline. I have called so many times I simply have lost count. Whist all these calls were made the camera and tracker started working again but the recording are not accessible. I indicated to tracker that there mus be a lose connection somewhere or the device must be faulty. In pure tracker style I’m just get send from agent to agent and nothing gets done
After cancelling my discovery bank credit card and account, I thought I would share my experience. this is a long one but lets start: 1. when you express an interest in Discovery Bank you won't believe the number of calls, follow-ups, emails, you name it ... every person under the sun calls and tries some or another selling technique or method to get you to sign up. signup and card delivery is 4 stars 2. The banking app is really good and one of the best amoungst the banks, for that - 5 stars 3. The rewards is very much linked to the following: all your accounts have to be at discovery, all your investments need to be at discovery, you need to be a professional athlete who trains 6 days a week and eats only the healthy food options (not that many - even milk and basic food items that most people would consider healthy are NOT on the list). rewards program I give 1 star 4. After much consideration and weighing up my banking costs, rewards which are very few, I decided to cancel my discovery black credit card and discovery bank account. This is where the fun starts. Discovery has not answered a single email I have send, I have called the bank twice and been put on hold for quite some time to initiate and complete the cancellation process. My account is completely paid up (including fees and transactions - card last used 20th Feb 2025) and the bank still insists that I have a cancellation amount of R 440.00. they cannot give me a breakdown of these fees or can explain if it's a transaction (which it is not), they simply say the cancellation cost and we will close the account only after that amount is paid... I really hope this review can be some help to someone who is looking at Discovery Bank and is no way financial advise but I would strongly suggest you look at other banks before choosing Discovery Bank. Discovery used to be good years ago but they just seem to heading in the wrong direction... I see so many negative reviews below, it makes absolute sense to me after my experience. Overall 2 stars from me
Do not deal with this company. Order placed and paid in October not delivered with No updates on possible delivery. Celeste has constantly ignored any requests regarding my delivery. When you contact celeste or custom creation via another cellphone they respond immediately and send quotations and request deposits (they always mention some or other special that is ending soon to get you to fall for this **** and pay the deposit). They never mention once they too busy and your order will be delayed by months (if they actually making furniture at all). **** reviews (you will always notice 5-star reviews have very little detail and very in descript names like John, Jane, etc) , daily facebook adverts, good marketing and professional photos makes this **** a very compelling and you easily part with your deposit.
Our IT Support company has been an ESET South Africa reseller for 14 years. Over the 14 years we have probably called the ESET support center about 10 times for assistance and diligently paid our account yet since 2020 ESET has reduced our reseller margin downward year on year. You would honestly think that when companies make decisions they consider the lifetime revenue of a customer and don't just apply a blank policy to all. It's really comes down to case of greed and using COVID as lame excuse to "change" the way they do business. During March and April we had 11 cases of Ransomware across 3 servers and 8 desktop computers, when I called ESET to discuss the problem, they simply said we had not configured the required rules - surely a product would come "out of the box" with those rules ... nevertheless we successfully used cloud backups and restored all the customer data. 10 years ago nothing could touch ESET when it came to end point security and the sad reality is that there is a ton a better products that simply do the job better. Its the push our company has needed and during 2023 we will be moving all annual and MSP licenses to another product. Please comment on this post to advise what end point security you use and more importantly the support you get form the vendor.
After I made a big fuss I was contacted by Hoffman and my repairs mysteriously were ready for collection and the attitude I was given that they were waiting on me ???<br> <br> I proceeded to collect the UPS and paid just short of R 2000 for the repairs. I proceeded back to my office and awaited for the new batteries to be delivered. When I plugged the UPS into power it was completely dead, we tried also connection the batteries and the UPS unit was also non-responsive <br> <br> This tells me they didn't even repair the unit merely dusted it off and told me it was ready for collection and charged me a lot of money for a repair that was not done. Hoffman power is complete useless and frankly a bunch of fraudsters. I wish i never got involved with the company to start with
