I have been with ESET for many years and because my credit card expired and i had to get a new one, ESET sent my details to the bank and ofcourse the bank declined it because i had received a new card with new details. I did contact ESET and told them my new details and they kept on submitting my old details and everytime they did that, the bank charged me R8.00 so R48.00 later, i have not CANCELLED my ESET with no effort from them to fix the problem........ not happy

I have a subscription that suddenly through me out and when I asked for help they just left me hanging. When you phone them you have to wait for them to come out of a meeting before they will make an effort to help

Our IT Support company has been an ESET South Africa reseller for 14 years. Over the 14 years we have probably called the ESET support center about 10 times for assistance and diligently paid our account yet since 2020 ESET has reduced our reseller margin downward year on year. You would honestly think that when companies make decisions they consider the lifetime revenue of a customer and don't just apply a blank policy to all. It's really comes down to case of greed and using COVID as lame excuse to "change" the way they do business. During March and April we had 11 cases of Ransomware across 3 servers and 8 desktop computers, when I called ESET to discuss the problem, they simply said we had not configured the required rules - surely a product would come "out of the box" with those rules ... nevertheless we successfully used cloud backups and restored all the customer data. 10 years ago nothing could touch ESET when it came to end point security and the sad reality is that there is a ton a better products that simply do the job better. Its the push our company has needed and during 2023 we will be moving all annual and MSP licenses to another product. Please comment on this post to advise what end point security you use and more importantly the support you get form the vendor.

I bought ESET Ultimate and was supposed to receive a confirmation email to effect all functionalities. I called ESET SA and they said it was an ESET .com issue which I had a eChat with and they said it was a SA issue. I emailed ESET SA and received the following ID 253151. This was yesterday 20220609 It is now the next day and no response.

Good product and service. I have used ESET before and know of the brand name for many years now (over 10 years). Top competing anti virus and complete internet security suite although it does lack a few extra features both I would consider are nice and needed. Pricing is good versus top competitors - I am currently using the Smart Security Premium Package from them on both my mobile and pc/laptops (currently 9 devices). Clean interface but not understandable in the begining to novice users. Lacks a quick switch mode or shortcut to enable "gamer mode". System resources arent heavy when in "idle/real-time" mode. Losses one star as I had to pay manually double for an additional licence for device and no option to edit current account licence instead of using an easy online interface (as with most competitors) via their payment portal/website. Disappointed in this however recommend this product versus current top competitors. Has a handy encryption feature for your computer and flash drive. Recommend this product to all. Just lacks extra features that one would expect with a complete security suite and the manual addition of licences that cost more than as if one was to purchase them initially on "1st Buy".

I received a notice that my Anti Virus will expire at the end of this month on the 1st July. As I did not receive any news about my payment, made on 01/07/2021, or that my license has been renewed, I contacted them this morning at 08:00. As it turned out my bank did not process the payment yet, due to the fact that I did not use my normal, EFT, method of payment. I processed another payment and by 11:00 I had my invoice, and new license. Great work by a great team.

I noticed the margin on partner invoices dropped by half from the 1st of July 2020. I made a call to the call centre and the Troy Jones enlightened me that they introduced a new partner program in July [within the COVID lockdown] whereby if I don't have a certain quarterly spend, my margin will be cut to, according to 4DI, to a competitive 10% margin. I am a registered partner since 2007 and 4DI decided to introduce this new partner program within the COVID lockdown. Long story short, terrible, non-transparent communication, considering moving customers to another solution.

I have been using this Anti-virus program since 2009. As far as I am concerned, it is absolutely the best program available. Never had one day where it did not protect not only my Laptop and PC but it is also my anti-virus of choice for my smartphone. Thanks for an outstanding product.
