We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Diner to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. The pork belly, which has brought me back to this restaurant, was the best I’d ever had. The restaurant gave my wife a free desert on a plate wishing her happy birthday in chocolate. Great service, very thoughtful and good value for money. They have my recommendation. Thanks guys.
This review is a little overdue. Last year during October a group of pastors were meant to meet on an island on the Vaal dam. Rough weather prevented the conference from starting on time. The group ask ‘At my table’ in Vereeniging, if they could use the venue. They provided a private room at no extra charge and served us a wonderful meal. Most would have charged heavily for the use of the venue but they let us hold our meeting and just charged for the delicious food. It was very reasonably priced and outstanding quality. Thank you for helping us out at the last minute and providing such helpful service.
We asked Neil Britz from Crown Technology to installed Solor panels for us which they did with exceptional efficiency and helpfulness. When there are so many people installing Solor using sub standard work and cutting corners, these guys go to great lengths to communicate and operate with safety and honesty. Their sub contractor, Storm and team, were wonderful. The system has operated perfectly and proved exceptionally helpful to us who work from home. Thanks guys for a job very well done.
I asked these folk to repair my 91 year old mom’s glasses which they did with efficiency. The lady worked diligently to sort the issue out and then returned glasses without charging us anything. They were friendly and polite and I wanted to give them thanks for being so helpful and generous. So refreshing!
I had a business lunch at the IdahoSpur Steakranch in Cradlestone mall on Tuesday 6 August. My colleague pointed out a big curled white hair on my mushroom steak. I was disgusted. We already had to wait some time for the service and so I was reluctant to send back the food. I was put off my food. I placed the hair on the waiter’s tray for the chef to inspect. The manager came over to apologise but then argued that it wasn’t a hair but from a brush used on the chip holder. Well I felt better! There was no offer for a free coffee or discount or something to mitigate, just a foolish remark. This is the second bad experience I’ve had at Spur. The first was at the airport Spur. The time serving was long, the food bad and the waiter repeatedly did not follow my request. I used to like Spur but cannot recommend them. Spur need to be told that the loss of good will in this business spreads quickly. I think that they need to improve.
I purchased a phone from another shop who were unable to assist me as promised. So I went into the Vodacom shop with my new phone and they were already under pressure. I was sent to the technical desk where I received a polite reception and then the employee took great trouble to explain the workings of my phone and transfer all my data, dispute trouble with my failure to remember passwords and so on. They really went the extra mile even though I had not bought the phone there. They made sure I understood my new phone. Well done guys!! You created good will and gave Vodacom shop a great name. Next time I need a phone, I'll start with you.
