So last Tuesday (10th of November 2024), I signed up online for "MTN Superflex" package - month to month contract - R299 pm (1st month at R199). This was one of their specials for black friday. The online process was fairly simple and as i was already an MTN prepaid customer i did not need to port or do a sim swap. Well fast forward to today (4th of December 2024) my package has not been activated at all, my account has been debited for R199 and i have received confirmation of my payment - however there has been no sms update as per their website information to inform me that my package has been activated, i am not sitting with no data or minutes waiting for this to kick in. Furthermore MTN has no way whatsoever to contact an ACTUAL person via their customer care line - that being said, i even went as far as going in to my local MTN store and they themselves could be of no assistance at all to me - so last resort now (i even emailed mtn customer care and have gotten no response) i am posting my story here - maybe there is some other poor soul stuck in my predicment or maybe this may speed up the process of me getting my package activated.
Hi, we hosted a function at this venue in February 2024. There was not a lot to complain about, everything went well, food was great. However the problem began during the functoin. We had booked for 120 guests at R500pp (Buffet Menu 3). On the day however they served us one meal short (Lamb Curry), which was one of the main reasons we opted for the full menu package. The package the served us was infact the lower option which was Buffet Menu 2 which costed R445pp. Upon complaining to the on duty manager for the evening he said his chefs could not prepare this meal as everything was frozen. We were fine with this as he informed us that the Hotel/Venue would reimburse us for the meal that was not served. Unfortunately it has now been months after the function and i can barely get an email response regarding my refund. It is sad that this venue remains so highly rated yet with such poor customer service. If it was a small function i can understand not wanting to refund your customer. But the have now charged me R55pp extra for a Menu setting that was not served properly. I even went to the extent of recommending that instead of the refund they issue me with vouchers to the remaining value (R6600) for which i can untilise the buffet restuarant and have meals with my family. Even that has been left with no response. It is deeply saddening that it has come to this and for me to have to leave such a sour review for such a lovely place and venue for hosting functions.
Hi, My car has recently been to this company for panel beating after a side smash. It give me no pleasure at all to leave this sour review, but all my attempts at rectifying things with the company themselves have left me no other option. This is how my story goes (should anyone be interested i have a full paper trail of my encounter, in the form of emails back and forth). Upon collectiing my vehicle (2020 Polo GTi) from the Renew-It group in Durban Central, I picked up many flaws, which at the time i was promised that everything would be fixed and brought back to original. The company was paid R155 000 for the repairs, which was supposed to have been done with brand new parts. The list of flaws are as follows and i sit here 3 months later driving a "NEW" and unsafe vehicle. 1. GTi fender badge was stolen (left side) 2. "NEW" body panels very badly scratched and some not aligned or ever replaced 3. Drivers side window, quoted and paid for but not changed 4. Wrong drivers side mirror fitted, it should have been one with the BSM sensor but it does not have it, i was told there was a stock problem. However upomn contacting VW themselves (dealership from which the car was purchased), they have this mirror in stock. 5. Airbag sensors are one costantly 6. Traffic alert sensors do not work due to wrong drivers side mirror fitted It has now been just over 3 months and with emails between this company and my insurance, absolutely nothing has been done, i now drive in a vehicle, that every time it is started, a whole host of sensors are triggered. I have tried and tried and the only response i get is that they are waiting parts, but surely it does not take 3 months to attain parts that are infact in stock with our local manufacturers. i can only imagine how many other people are given this runaround behaviour. Unfortunately all i can do now is hope that by some miracle the above is resolved, however i hold little faith that it will and will some how have to fix.
