I purchased Dulux’s so-called luxurious silk paint in Chiseled Grey, and what an absolute disappointment. The colour displayed in-store versus the result on my wall is completely different—to the point where it feels misleading. After raising this with Makro, Vernon (the store manager) attempted to “fix” the issue by adding colourant to lighten the paint. The result? Still dark and unusable. I was then told that adding more colourant would “affect the quality of the paint.” To make matters worse, I was initially expected to purchase white paint at my own cost just to try and correct a problem that was never of my making. So I am now stuck with expensive paint I am unhappy with, a problem created by inaccurate in-store representation and handled with complete indifference. Vernon and his manager at Makro Cornubia were entirely unhelpful, dismissive, and offered no meaningful solution. Dulux customer service was no better—Dineo was equally unhelpful, showing zero accountability for a premium product that clearly does not deliver on its promise. For a brand that charges a premium, Dulux is grossly overrated and not worth the price. The paint is marketed as silk yet dries as a matt finish, which is completely unacceptable. This was an absolute waste of money. Ironically, Plascon is cheaper and far superior in both quality and consistency. As for Makro Cornubia, this is the second time I’ve had serious issues. Previously, they took my grass-cutting machine for repairs, still have it to this day, failed to fix it, and then had the audacity to demand additional payment. Between incompetence, poor service, and zero accountability, I will never purchase from Makro again. The customer service from both Makro and Dulux is appalling

I purchased a headboard and the incorrect color was delivered to me and takealot is refusing to proceed with my refund. It's been well over a week, I don't have my refund or the headboard so where the hell is my money. Bunch of *******
Been trying to get my refund before 7 days and this company refuses to give me my full payment, they don't have a cancelation policy but take 50% deposit if you cancel due to a death in the family. Absolutely pathetic service. They don't answer when you call and I am waiting for my money since Thursday night. What a ****! The lady kept telling me she will give me feedback but doesn't and doesn't take my calls.
I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with Kendra's venue booking service. Despite confirming my wedding venue for August 17th, 2024, I received a last-minute call informing me that the venue is no longer available due to an expo event. The suggested alternative, Umgeni Road Temple, is unacceptable and shows a lack of understanding of my wedding vision. With only a few weeks to go, I'm left without a venue and facing significant financial losses from non-refundable service providers. Kendra's team has shown no remorse or effort to rectify the situation. I strongly advise against using their services, as they failed to prioritize my special day and left me in a devastating position.
I purchased a Trimmer from Makro, used it once and when I wanted to use it for the second time it didn't come on. Took it to the store almost 3 months ago only to find out recently that I now need to pay about R485 to their supplier to have it fixed. That is more than half of what the trimmer cost initially. I called them and said I refuse to pay this because It was not my fault. The customer service team were rude and of no help. My trimmer is still with them to date. I've asked to speak to someone senior and they still haven't got back to me. It's really pathetic how they treat customers. I used to purchase my groceries monthly at Makro but this incident has made me not want to go back. For such a huge store, I am disgusted with how terrible their service is
Bought a pair of Levi's jeans and over time the material thinned and ripped. Waste of money
Purchased a pair of white Astrina sneakers at Ted Baker Gateway. After a few months the material started to peel of. This has now happened to another pair of my Ted Baker sneakers. Been to the store multiple times, I was told my proof of sale cannot be located on the system and even if I had the receipt, there was nothing that they could to to help me. Really disappointing because these sneakers were not cheap!... For the amount of money paid, the quality is absolutely poor & the service received is worse!!
