What an ABSOLUTE MESS the DHA online systems and "processes" are!! I am trying to apply for a passport renewal. So, I tried registering on the DHA website/portal in order to capture my application online. IMPOSSIBLE TASK. I NEVER RECEIVE THE PIN THAT SHOULD BE SENT TO MY PROVIDED CELL PHONE NUMBER so I can complete the process of REGISTERING. I have sent DHA emails requesting help with this. NO HELP FORTHCOMING! So I tried to go to a DHA "satelite" branch - in CRESTA, Johannesburg. 1) they only help a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of walk-in daily. so 2) one is told to BOOK AN APPOINTMENT, which I tried to do..... IMPOSSIBLE! The WWW.DHA.GOV.ZA online booking DOES NOT WORK! The only response I have had from it is "NO SLOTS FOUND" - and I have tried to book for both Cresta or Menlyn, and for ANY DATE IN MARCH!! So I was told by the "MEETER GREETER" or "GREETER MEETER" at Cresta that one can book ONLY FOR THE CURRENT DAY, and you have to BOOK FROM 6am (I assumed that is the time the bookings open) but tried this morning, before 6am and after 6am and still NO LUCK, all I get is "NO SLOTS FOUND"!! What an ABSOLUTE CIRCUS DHA is! So much for "GOING ONLINE"! An ABSOLUTE ******** to say the least! So now, the ONLY OPTION OPEN to me is to GO QUEUE OUTSIDE A DHA branch in the hopes of being one of the SELECTED FEW THAT WILL BE SERVED THAT DAY - just like it is still PRE-INTERNET DAYS!!
I would like to write a review about MiWay Insurance and their prompt and efficient response to my need to have my motor vehicle towed back home this morning. Thank you MiWay for being there for me when I needed your help. Also thanks to Estelle Coetzee - at the help desk - for her efficient assistance.
Absolutely SHOCKINGLY BAD service from this company. They are supposed to be handling the estate of the deceased husband of a friend - looks like they have been "sub-contracted" by Old Mutual to deal with the estate - Old Mutual being the actual nominated executors), and their service and work has been TERRIBLE - they have not kept in touch with the wife of the deceased to let her know what is going on, they have constantly changed the person/s dealing with the estate, they are difficult to get hold of, they have deducted their executor fees already, but the estate is not yet fully wound up, there was a sale of a property in the deceased's estate and they have not kept control of what is happening with regard to that property, the transfer of the property (by other conveyancing attorneys), etc. STEER CLEAR!!
Since yesterday when I try to make outgoing calls on my MTN cellphone number it tells me "You have been RICA BLOCKED or suspended." I have been to a MTN store to try and get re-RICA'd (in case this was the actual problem) but they were not able to re-RICA me and COULD NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. Apparently they could not access their system for this. Apparently I am not the only person that has come into the store today with this problem. Then, try getting hold of MTN "customer care"!! 135 is useless - has such limited choices and NO OPTION TO SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING/CONSULTANT. Their Whatsapp "AI" BOT at 0831230011 is just as useless - just goes around and around asking the same stupid questions and giving irrelevant feedback, also without an option to SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING!! WHAT IS GOING ON MTN!!!!!???????
So it seems that on Momentum's Incentive Plan they do not cover Osteoporosis as a Chronic Condition, because - as I was told - "It is not life-threatening" but instead is a "life-sustaining" (?!) condition. Excuse Me?! Tell that to someone with Osteoporosis! However, they do cover Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis of the skin, Allergic rhinitis (aka hay fever)...... somehow these conditions are deemed more life-threatening than Osteoporosis - if one follows their rationale for which chronic conditions they do or not cover (i.e. life-threateningness being a mentioned consideration). Also, EVERYTHING other hospital related expenses seem to be taken from the Savings Account - until there is nothing left, and one then has to pay out of one's pocket...... even ALL Optical Benefits are now deducted from Savings!! So what is the actual point of this plan? One may just as well just have a Hospital Plan, and one's own little savings account on the side to pay for out-of-hospital expenses.
