I purchased many cars from Gobid, none of them were profitable. All looks good only on face value. I accept that it is auction and you basically getting a lucky packet. I purchased an Opel Corsa - said keys available. But when I received car, it had plain key and not the original transponder key. I queried with Gobid and asked them to get the key from the owner, but they went silent on the enquiry. I bought a Citroen C3 - all wiring from the dash to the taillights are missing. I bought a Hyundai Getz - said to be a starter. But battled to start it because oil and water mixed. I had to overhaul the complete engine due to extensive internal damage. My worst nightmare was the Citroen C2. Car was sold as non-runner. But Gobid cleaned the car thoroughly with no trace of storm/water damage. They did not even disclose that the car was water damage. It's only when the mechanic tried to get the car started that he discovered the engine had water in place when only oil supposed to be. All the computer boxes were water and mud stained. I complained to Gobid and asked for a refund or at least some compensation - they refused, hiding behind their terms and conditions and stating they "sell salvage." This was very devious in my opinion and that they got away with something like this. I would not have purchased this car if it stated storm damage or if there were any signs of storm damage. With so many storm damaged cars in Durban due to the recent floods - how many other unsuspecting victims did they fish in this deceptive manor? When purchasing from them, take extra care!!
Transportation of my bakkie from Polokwane to Durban was graceful and stress-free. I booked the collection with Charlene - she forwarded me the necessary documentation to fill in and handed over to Thabang. Both were polite, professional and answered all my questions - it was my first time with Intercity Auto Movers, so as you can imagine, I had plenty questions. Thank you both - you took away much of my panic. Bakkie was collected on scheduled date and was was delivered (as per my 11th hour request, lol) before scheduled delivery date. I will definitely use Intercity Auto Movers for my future collections and/or deliveries. Well done to the entire team :-)
Mi Way are easy and painless to deal with. They are always responsive from quotes, to claims, to general assistance. I added a second vehicle to my cover this morning. Although I haven’t received the registration papers from the previous owner, the sales person Grant Ackers assured me I can still enjoy their cover - wow, such a relief- thank you.
I placed order for delivery 14th February to a business address. On the profile it says that if order is placed before 12h00, it will be delivered by close of business and that some priorities will be given to business deliveries. Order was confirmed for delivery same day. However, a call was received from the delivery person at 17h22 - way after business hours. Arrangements were made to deliver flowers at receivers residence. Nothing happen. Receiver called delivery guy at 18h24 - he confirmed that he will deliver by 19h30. But he did not. Waited up to 20h30, then proceeded to continue with our other plans and salvage whatever time remained of the night. Since it was pointless to receive the items any other day, I emailed Netflorist that night to cancel the order. They haven't responded to the email as yet.
