One star rating is actually more than I want to give this company. Our bill usually is around R1500 to 2k..on a high month maybe 2.5k. This month it spikes to R4200. After numerous emails and no reply...eventually I copied whoever I could and finally got a reply. Their reason is this is my usage and they can see usually every year we use more around this time. What nonsense! We use a gas stove and heater and there were no changes on our lifestyle to explain this. Will never trust this company... Especially 2 years ago we changed to gas stove and our bill dropped by R500... The next week a technician was there to "repair" our box. When I questioned him.. He says the office sent him to change the parts as it was apparently not rotating correctly. *******! And obviously the following month my bill was back to what it used to be even though we using gas. Will never trust them... When we buy elsewhere the first thing I will be checking is if protea is the supplier and will make sure to stay far from there.
Appointment made for a quote, lady ( Elmarie) calls to get the address, very rude, impatient and no idea of what customer service is. Will never call them again! She did initially say the job was "too small" but said they will come anyway to quote, I suppose that's why she was rude the next day so they don't have to come out. I can only imagine the quality of work they do if quote stage is this bad.
Ordered and paid for 2 pedestals. Was promised it will arrive in store in 3 days. Nothing happened. I called.. Then told items will arrive the next week. Nothing happened again. Calls to their call center is of no point....i went back to the store and was told the items are there from the day before but now I must come back the following day as they didn't assemble it yet ( which we paid for as well). I refused and said there is already a 2 week delay and there is No communication from anybody since then. I had to do all the phoning and running around to find what is happening. They said ok come back at 4pm that afternoon it will be ready. Go to the store at exactly 4pm..muat made to wait 45mins while the guy 'fetched' the items from the back... Which I know was a load of nonsense because they were only started assembling when I got there. To my annoyance when the 2 pedestals did eventually come out of the store room...one had a scratch! Finally got it sorted.. After 2 weeks and all the running around and phoning. The irony of it all is the name of the sales lady who initially helped us was Happy... I was anything but happy at the end of this experience!
Continental Linen Lifestyle Centurion... Worst experience ever. I bought curtains for R1300 and wanted to refund as it didn't match. Unopened and with my receipt..the manager Norma has no customer service skills whatsoever and it clearly filters down to her staff. I was told to come back because they don't have enough money yet.. Or they can refund my card but It takes 5 days to reflect. I made the point that why should I wait 5 days as when I bought the items my money was taken immediately.. Anyway I had no choice but to opt for cash. I was told I will receive a phone call... No calls.. I had to phone the other store to get their number.. I was told to come.. They still don't have cash but now they can refund my credit card...which I asked them to do in the morning but they refused since the first purchase was a debit card... But now they could. I get to the store... The cashier from the morning was at the till.. When she saw me just put a form in front of me and said name and surname...i then asked another lady by the name of Fadana for her area managers number.. Her response... We don't give it out.. All this while Norma the store manager was on her cellphone... She decided to come in the store.. Didn't even bother to apologize that I had to come back but she still doesn't have enough money to refund me... This is now 3pm And this store doesn't have R1300... Shocking. I asked the other lady if they treat all their customers this way... Norma still doesn't even look at me but says to her Staff.."now what's the problem"...i eventually got my refund and left. Pathetic service all round from this store... Will never buy from them or any branch again. Stay away! Rather spend your money elsewhere. Their attitude is terrible.. Not sure what training they receive or how they appoint managers...
