My Caravan were severely Damaged in an accident, Discovery then decided to pay me the full ensured amount, a Discovery employee phoned me with this news, I were happy, few minutes later he phoned me again and said he want to make it clear to me that I can keep the caravan and if I fixed it can re-insured it with them, hey then send the relevant documentation for the payment, in this document it was clearly stated that they pay the ensured amount and that I can fix the caravan and cant keep discovery responsible for the repairs, I signed and return it to them, payment were made, Then a Discovery employee send me a mail and said they will come and recover the caravan from me, I want to make it clear that I left the Caravan at Garden Route Caravans after the quotation and only collect it after I received the mandate from Discovery. Due to the above I think it is unfair of them to come and reclaim the caravan, they had all the time in the world to ensure that all was done correctly, this claim was settled over a very long time and there were no rush from their side
Discovery insure cant be trusted at all, not even if they committed in writing, firstly the promised to pay R1250 into my bank account last Friday (said within 72 Hours), when I asked questions they bluntly ignore me, even the CEO were cc in this queries, but nothing

I was in an accident on the 25th of August, my caravan was severely damaged, Discovery assist me VERY GOOD on the day of accident, after that no feedback if I didn't asked for it, on Friday the 16th September a Discovery representative phoned me and apologize for the delay and explain that the valuation was completed, he give me the exact amounts for the payments and said that they will forward the relevant documentation for signatures, he phone a few minutes later and made it clear that I can keep the caravan but that they will remove it from policy with immediate effect, all this 100% with me, till now still no documentation,

Discovery the decide to appoint a mechanical engineer to investigate, he then check the front suspension and due to signs of wear and tear on rubbers and ball joints he then referred the evidence to a forensic expert, they then decide to decline the replacement of steering rack, I except it and receive my car back middle August 2022, I the immediately took it to a Mercedes-Benz technician Welkom he then detected within the first 30 minutes that clapping sound is not from the suspension or steering rack but from a bush on the steering column where it came trough the fire wall, it was forced out of position due to impact, he then clean and refurbish it and re-install it. Discovery decline payment of him My point it is that Discovery and all there so called specialist couldn't detect the real fault since January till today, they only find reasons not to pay, the faulty part not seen by any person at Discovery, I did submit a video of the faulty part. No assessor of Discovery ever seen the vehicle and the appointed so called specialist only came to seek for reasons not to pay and never look for the real mistake. when asked questions via email, I did receive the read notice but were totally ignored , never been answered, when you phone the call center i were on the line during this period for more than two hours, if you push them into a corner I were disconnected, no interest to phone me back With all these evidence the representative from the CEOs office still said that they cant overturn the decision
