Buyers should really consider multiple aspects when purchasing a unit, and have lots of extra funds for a while in future to fix things in a new house. Previous post removed to delineate between developer, managing agent and trustees responsibilities.
Bought a unit before covid, had to cancel due to factors out of our control. Central "took" R50 000 for remarketing fee although their agents was on site the whole day, everyday during that time. Fifty thousand. We still believe it was unfair and unnessecary and in fact have those funds less to invest now towards placing our parents. We will definately not recommend them to any of our friends or acquaintances looking to invest for themselves or their parents. All above stated is true and can be proven.
Bought a uniqon development unit in Pretoria. A disaster from the beginning. On moving in day, our unit looked like a construction / dumpsite. Even the bathrooms were utilised by workers - we had to clean EVERYTHING before we could use any of our own purchased things in the unit. We unfortunately have this property now where there is NO WILLINGNESS OR ANY UNDERSTANDING OF INDIVIDUAL NEEDS as well. Only trustee members and family of developer can do what they want. Even if majority of residents support your ideas, the bosy corporate ( trustees by their names ) will present some excuse for that approval. The CCOS ombudsman is even in their pocket it seems as they will only focus on resident responsibility, not at all on management responsibility. Better then that no one in SA still believes in any regulated justice system anyway. Iq asset Management ( the body corporate) will always issue just ultimatums - that is when you actually do receive a reply on a request. Paying enormous levies does NOT constitute receiving any actual service that is being paid for. You will decline many social invitations from every time that you yourself are on holiday to fix your "new" house, as construction issues like rising damp etc appears. And please do not for one minute think you are buying your "own" home, or any type of "dream" home. It is an absolute falsehood. Their iQ-this and IQ-that will always just remain an IQ-problem. Save yourself a massive headache and STAY AWAY FROM UNIQON AND ANY COMPLEX STARTING WITH IQ-SOMETHING !!!!
Bought a rental unit during covid time. Had to cancel as we work in the health industry. All private facilities had severe funding shortages as they had to treat people even for free during pandemic, all overtime and increases freezed as an unforseen consequence. So we had to cancel the purchase. Central developement took R50 000 of our paid deposit for "marketing fees" to apparently remarket the unit. FIFTY THOUSAND RAND. I quess ********s always have a excuse for *****ing something that does not belong to them. Now that my parents actually need the unit, we are buying another one - DEFINATELY NOT FROM CENTRAL. To us this is central demolishment as we have that money less now to assist our vulnerable parents. At least we can share our absolute disgust with all their friends in that age gap requiring retirement now, for not buying or even renting from a central headache company.
To the CEO - Kimberley office doing *****. Multiple contacts and persons unwilling to provide supporting evidence for " damages " fees taken from my account. The only photo provided does not show any damage. Will report to Consumer Commission now.
Rented car for 1 and half day. No damagea occured while with us between hospital and guesthouse. Returned just passed 8:00 with photos on their app. Afterwards received email with "dent" ( looks like a scratch that can be polished out ). Took whole deposit AND extra from our account in spite of me requesting then to review my photos as loaded earlier. Trying to solve this issue is disaster, they.only delay and refer to procedures only, will not share my taken photos with me as evidence and boast of people coming before cars. What a joke!
Continuous issue -NO Cell reception even in the middle of the city and in 2021. Always "unable to connect - try again later" or "not registered on network". Can't even phone 'customer care'....
More like 'central demolishment' .waterkloof marina....they stole our money during a time of covid no less. And where in worldclass facilities do you find such cheap finishings? Not a worthwhile investment.
