The received my storage goods in my absence. The furnished my with new padlocks. The manager Patrick made sure at one of his staff was present during the of load of my stuff to the their facility. Their staff had to repack my goods and they made an inventory of everything that was loaded off. They also have feedback on badly my goods where man handled and how unfriendly and unprofessional the team of storage king was. So Master Movers really deserve all the praise for acting on my behalf on Friday Morning the 8th of March 2024. And do recommend them because they are far cheaper than storage King. Battling to get re-embursed from Storage King Cape Town after some of my items went missing. My goods stood unsecured for 3 days then it was allocated to a 3rd unit without my consent. After reporting the incident once we had to had come do a physical inspection ourselves whereby we discovered a whole bag with both me and my son's shoes was missing. We reported this early on the Monday the discovery was made. The Managing director is now refusing to refund me for the value of my items. I was issued 50 ,% discount for delivery after I had such a bad experience with them and this too is becoming an issue as the Managing director is now retracting from her agreement. The same director is now denying to pay out the value of my goods. They had the Keyes to that 3rd unit for more than a month in there possession so also my other keys of my other units claiming that my removal company had made of with my keys. This is one uncomfortable situation. People should be weary of this company now situated in Montague Gardens they should checkout their accounts have it reviewed by a professional also when they start threatening with auctions make sure that your statements collate with their accounting.
I am having quite an awfull experience with storage King in Brackenfell. My goods went in end of May 2023.They lost my storage keys on the very same day the removal company handed it over to the person incharge of the storage facilities. I was told by the manager that the removal company drove off with the keys. My keys was discovered a full month later by the same female manager that the where found in their safe this after incriminating the removal company. They also did not insure that I sign a contract. They sent it via a link and I told them that my phone could not open the link. I was asked to come in to the office and do it there on both occasions I was there no contract was given to me to sign. Then I heard a 3rd storage unit was allocated to me without my knowledge or permission inflating my costs with a huge amount. I also heard from the office staff that my goods and personal belongs stood unsecured for 3 days before the female manager allocated a third unit this without my knowledge and concent. On my 2nd visit my son was looking for some shoes that we newly bought but we couldn't find and this was with the stuff that stood outside for 3days. They had my keys all the time and the goods all fitted in only two units. I proved to that no 3rd unit. There email trail is of the worst kind and very confusing and I really don't know if it is set up in this manner to get people to lose the possessions. Because on the one hand they would send you an account and say you can ignore if you already made payment and that breath 2mins later you will get a notification of your stuff being auctioned. This to me is very suspect. I have requested that I will draw up a credit note with all the payments I made versus what they say I owe. I am in the process of doing so in the email they said to waiver all the penalties on my late payments Then if we agree on the outstanding amount I will then sign my contract. I also requested a full inspection versus my inventory due to the fact that my keys where missing for a whole month and denying that they never had my keys. My stuff also stood there unsecured for 3 days. To date not own of the owners apologized to me. I think it's because I am of a darker skin colour and that I still have some money outstanding. I have paid every month so even if my payments was sort of always show my commitment. I am almost threatened on a daily basis with auctions knowing full well that they have no grounds for an auction hence me saying this is a racial thing. If my email is not flooded then they bomb my phone up on what's app. I never gave them permission to contact me on what's app. So one would tackle me on what's app while someone else sends emails and this happens simultaneously. Further more they didn't once recognised any of my payments. I submitted my proof of payments on two occasions but I was told that I never paid a single amount so lucky for me that I pay through my banking app for my proof to their aligations. Lastly I am eager to see if the penalties for late payments and the free delivery will happen as per their email trail. People should be made aware of companies like storage King because one never know who they have done it to before and maybe succeeded in having people lose the possessions ********ly. I hope this article bring about some awareness. I am also fine with the apology that I never got.
With the help of a banking official Reeva at the Eerste Branch she and her client manage to ***** money from me. Capitec did nothing to return my money so many emails and affividats later a full month and they did not return my money we asked for it to be transfered back into my account after Reeva from the Eerste River Branch confirmed that the money is still with Capitec. Capitecs bosses and forensics till today never contacted me on any progress into this case or the money that they are not reversing. This a sad case that a bank can allow such ******** activity and not do a thing about it.
Todate no promise of returning my car. No correspondence i wrote to the case handler and was told that she will be back on the 28th of October it is now the 22nd of November and she still didnt bother to reply to my email. I requested a refund on my premiums that they took without giving me the benefits that i paid for but even that was not adhered to seeing that i lost my income due to not having my car. I am currently unemployed and losing a contract for a year really set me back because i cannot afford to be without an income. I have all my emails proving that the failure to return my car is a direct result for loosing my contract. The owner of JD coach works is sly and devious and tried to take my car by slapping me with storage that his company wavered. I paid my access on the 18th and the 19th Dawn Moore from JD coach works pulled that fast one on me. I have the proof of this as well. The insurance did nothing to support me during this time or to recover my car. No communication and the only called to ask why my debit for Oct did not go off. After every thing they made me go through can you believe it. They also promised me an email on the same day they called to confirm that they will make arrangements from claims to refund my payments and to date no email was received. No phone calls and my loss of income claims are also being ignored. They keep on saying i never went to fetch my car but i was there and Dawn Moore refused to release my car. I have a car my access was paid my car wasnt released and they expected of me to travel from Edgemead to Hawston every day to get to work. On whos expense ? Public transport is not an option i am recovering from covid after being in a coma for 6 weeks and being on a ventilator. How do i find my self in a taxi. All this reasons where given but to no avail. An uber was also out of the question who would pay for it? So based on that my contract was terminated. Discovery insure couldnt care less. I hope this complaint can reach everyone far and wide Discovery insure and JD coach should be closed down. Justice delayed is justice denied. My access was paid why nobody wanted to give my car back is beyond me. Shame on you Discovery insure
Bad to the core. I am without my car for almost 10mnths. Their repair received my acces and refused refused to release my car. I suffered a loos of income to the value of R100K and loss my contract due ro their failure to return my car. They still take their premiums every month withoit me having my car.. This is one of tje worst insurance companies ever. I am.now forced to go the legal route because rhey are failing to return my or to compensate my loss of income.
