Does not work in South Africa and support ignores my email
I stopped my discovery membership during 2024. I need to get my tax certificate for 2024/25 but because I am no longer a member I cannot download my tax certificate
I had an authorised service centre have a look at my fridge that stopped making cold. The technician came out and said some part rusted through and has to be replaced. The technician kept the fridge running and left. Later on another technician came out for a fault on the freezer. These are two separate systems. He then told us that because we kept the fridge running, the compressor packed up. When he phoned the first technician, that technician said it is our fault because we did not switch it off and it is logical that we should have switched the fridge off. Why did the first technician not switch the fridge off? Now they want us to pay for the compressor. They are waiting for the parts for more than a month now.
I took out an insurance policy with Discovery because it sounded so good. I should have listemed to the addage, if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably isn't. On the 5th of January there was a transformer that blew up near our home. When the power came on, both my computer and my freezer stopped working. I put in a claim for both. The computer I am still waiting for a technician to have a look at. The freezer they are trying to blame on previous work that has been done and even threatened to blacklist me and my daughter at all insurance companies because they say we are lying about our claim. Therefore I am cancelling my policy with them.
I cancelled my policy with LegalWise but they still deducted the monthly premium. When I contacted them I was told that I have to wait for the next month to be reimbursed. They are quick to deduct the money but I have to wait a month for reimbur*****t? Sounds more like Legal***** than LegalWise to me!

I signed up for NORDVPN through MWEB but the service from NORDVPN was so bad that I removed the app from my phone as well as from my pc. I put in a cancellation for this peoduct and now MWEB wants me to pay a cancellation fee of R2500.00 or carry on with the contract for the remaining 11 months! I cannot see that it is fair to keep on paying for a product that is so bad, that it is unusable. The product slowed down my streaming so much that I could not watch anything on my pc. It is also unstable as well as not always connecting automatically
Yesterday a big tree outside our property fell and broke my perimeter wall. We phoned Kin Price and they imnediately said they will contact the emergency team and will call back. Unfortunately we did not have building insurance so we had to cancel the repair team. This morning King Price phoned and asked if there are any damage to the cobtents of my home. I told them it is only the wall. I asked to speak to someone in regards with getting building insurance. I was put through but couldn't hear the person. He immediately called me back but still struggled to hear everything he asked me. He was SO patient with me and repeated the questions over and over until I understood what he was asking me. I told him I am hard of hearung and cannot hear over a phone. He said, no problem and eventually all questions got answered! He is the best! Unfortunately I do not have his name, but I am sure there is a record of our call. Please thank him again from me.
Discovery has done it again! They totally *****ed me! I was on classic comprehensive up till end of 2021. Some of my medication was not covered so they said I should upgrade my plan. Which I did at the start of 2022. I was hospitalized at the end of 2021 at Shelly beach hospital. No problem. Now, the 16th November I fell and so I go to Shelly beach hospital again. Discovery, on the higher plan, now doesn't cover the hospital!!! I have to go to Durban from Port Shepstone!!!
I have been on some chronic medication for almost 20 years. Over the years additional chronic conditions needed additional chronic medications. Most of these were added to the chronic medication benefit. During 2021 I queried why some of the medication was not on chronic benefit. I was informed that the plan I was on did not cover those medications and if I upgraded to a better plan it would be covered. So in November 2021 I changed to a better plan which then started in January. When I went to get my chronic medication at the end of January 2022, suddenly NONE of my medication was paid from my chronic benefit. When phoning the medical aid they said I have to send a new script that listed everything as chronic. I NEVER had to do that! Then they changed their story to that DisChem had to indicate that the medication was chronic! How can a chemist dicatate to a medical aid that medication must be on a chronic benefit? That is rediculous! But rhis just shows the incomperence of the people working for Discovery!
