Very disappointed with the new Showmax. Bring back the old Showmax. You officially launched this Showmax over a month ago, and shows are still not uploaded.

I am astonished as to how this trip ended. Firstly, we were advised that we needed to pay a deposit of R350, given the option to either pay card or cash with no terms explained. We opted for the card option, pity the receptionist did not issue a written receipt, meaning it was not recorded on her books, nor did we have a copy as Proof Of Payment, but the payment was made and it reflects on my bank statement. When checking out, they refused to give us our money, as it was a card payment. This was never explained to us by the receptionist when the payment was made. Amongst Precious (Receptionist), Johan (Manager) and Freedom (Operations Manager), they were very unclear about their own story regarding the refund period, as one would state that it take 21 days, one said 3-7 days, and one said 21 hours. Clearly their own staff is uneducated/unclear about their own terms and conditions. This resulted in us requesting an instant cash refund, reason being there was no clarity amongst themselves, therefore there is no guarantee that we will even get our money back. We received the money after an altercation at reception and being verbally attacked by Freedom, who only cares about reviews on sites such as Hello Peter. Recently, we received notification from Sudwala that they will “blacklist” us from their sites for THEFT as they claim that we demanded money that was not due to us, bare in mind, there is footage of us checking in and paying the deposit on arrival. Clearly there’s a possibility of internal theft, but they have opted to accuse us of theft, also bare in mind that we have submitted proof of payment, and there is footage of us paying on arrival. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THEIR MANNER OF APPROACH. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!
