I have been trying since December to change my banking details with showmax. Apparently showmax is having issues with FNB debitborders. In January my subscription was suspended. I received a link to do a manual payment. That link no longer works. Showmax does not respond to emails. I am really trying to pay... 🤨😬😠

I cant stream from my tv set. I have been trying to contact them for months but i have not been assisted. What a sorry excuse of an app. I dont recommend it to anyone

I informed Showmax that their subtitles on the show 30 Rock is incorrect. What appears in the subtiltles sounds like what is being said, but the words are entirely incorrect. For example; Season 3, Episode 10 around 8:30 The character says: "Buster, come here boy!" The subtitles say: "Pasteur nearby" They sound simi****, but the subtitles are complete nonsense. Showmax's reply to me was to inform me that the subtitles on their side is correct and I need to restart my TV. When I informed them that this has been an ongoing issue for weeks that I've watched the show, their response was to ask me what show I'm referring to as if I did not identify the show in my initial complaint, and they already told me the subtitles on that show is incorrect. Luckily I'm only hard of hearing and rely on the subtitles for clarification, but I cannot imagine that a deaf person who relies on the subtitles to know what's going on is able to watch the show. So does Showmax simply not care about their hard of hearing communities? And is it common practice to lie to someone before even checking if their complaint actually has merit? Utterly disgusting service.

We used to subscribe to Showmax until they changed their app and it no longer worked on our smart TV. So, we cancelled the subscription. I thought I would try again after more than a year and see if the app had been improved. Immediately, before I could even test whether it works, the subscription fee was deducted from my bank account. Sadly, the app still does not work on my TV and I can't even cast using the casting function of the TV. It just says: Showmax will not allow it. Now, they refuse to refund me, saying that I already streamed a movie (7 minutes in total while trying to cast it to my TV). Showmax sucks! They won't be seeing me again!

I battle no for 2 months to update my payment method I have been trying with no success to update my payment method. I try all my cards. The process goes as far as the approval of the transaction on my banking app and then, it redirects be back to the Showmax website, and this notification appears every time "saying there is a problem please try again" That is the end and I wait a few day and try again. This is very annoying. I cant find any place were I can log this beside Hallo Peter. Showmax you are not user friendly.
