Do not deal with these ******. They took a 70% deposit from me on a repair to a garage door and after a month I have seen no action. They have basically ****** my money. Do not deal with these low life characters and certainly do not give them a deposit!
Proton Solar distributors continue to break the law by refusing to return or refund my Inverter that I purchased from them several months ago. The inverter was faulty from the first day of installation but refused to fix unless I paid a repair fee. I refused and their legal department has tied this up since April this year. My advice is do not buy anything from this ************ and disgusting dealership!
Contacted them Monday 2nd to request someone to look at a faulty condenser which I purchased from them. They said they would let me know within a day or two. This is the 4th time this condenser has failed. Getting no response I phoned again on Thursday 5th. No-one responded back to me. It is now Tuesday 10th and I heard nothing from them. Really disappointed with their customer after care service.
Cell C does not allow me to call an 087 number unless I purchase airtime over and above my contract. This happens to be the number of my place of work so I am unable to contact them. This was never stipulated at the time my contract was taken out. I will be cancelling my contract with them when it is up in October.
Still waiting for my inverter after it was returned to them after failing on the first loadshedding. They wanted me to pay a repair fee which I refused. It has now been 4 months and they refuse to talk to anyone including the Consumer Ombudsman. I am still pursuing them and won't stop until justice has been done! Do NOT deal with them.
I am really disappointed with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud . At no stage was I advised of any progress or what they had actually done to resolve my issue. I believe one email was sent and that was it. A real waste of my time(3 weeks!) and taxpayers money which funds this organisation. Still not sure what their role is and why they have no real muscle to enforce the Consumer Protection Act. Not sure how and why they exist! Sounds like another institution which exists to offer people employment but offers no real service. Now they have fobbed me off to The National Consumer Commission. Not holding my breath!
I was advised to go to the Consumer Ombudsman to resolve this issue. They were absolutely ineffective and had no enthusiasm or desire to get this resolved. I am going to take this further and will not stop until it is resolve. This is a simple case of an inverter which was faulty from day one and Proton Solar will not replace, as is required by the CPA. Proton did not bother to even respond to the Ombudsman which says a lot about Protons attitude as well as the ineffectiveness of the Ombudsman.
Do not buy any products from this company. They have refused to replace my inverter even though they are obliged under South African law to do so. They have zero understanding of customer service and are very aggressive in their responses. Stay away and look elsewhere for your Solar and other supplies!
Bought a full system from them and from day 1 the inverter gave trouble. They took the inverter in but refused to replace it even though it was within 7 days. They do not answer their phones or emails. DO NOT do business with them!
