⚠️ Consumer Warning – Russells False Advertising ⚠️ Please be aware: Russells is advertising a lounge suite online at a big special price. Nowhere does it say “online purchases only.” I went to the Krugersdorp store to view the lounge suite and decided to purchase it. After waiting for an hour, I was told the special price is only available online. When I tried to buy it online, the website gave an error message: “Sorry, we do not deliver in your area.” This made it impossible to complete the purchase. In-store, the very same lounge suite was R7,000 more expensive. One price online, another in-store — but with the online option blocked by a delivery error, customers are forced to pay the higher in-store price.
On July 27, 2024, I placed and paid for an order of chairs through your online service. According to your terms and conditions, delivery was to be completed within 7-10 working days. However, as of today, August 30, 2024, I have yet to receive my order. Despite numerous phone calls and emails seeking an update, I have received no feedback or resolution. Additionally, I lodged a complaint with the ombudsman, who has also failed to receive a response from your end. This situation is both frustrating and unacceptable.
