I received a call from a guy named William, he was calling from 0672726339 and stated that he was Telkom's Tap2Win team and he was calling to inform me that I was the weekly Tap2Win winner of R15000 and that I only required 20 talk points to claim this price. HeI received a call from a guy named William, he was calling from 0672726339 and stated that he was telkoms Tap2Win team and he was calling to inform me that I was the weekly Tap2Win winner of R15000 and that I only required 20 talk points to claim this price. He then insisted I buy R200 airtime once off in order to reach 100 talk points and then the R15000 would be sent Via FNB Ewallet in 5 different SMS's. He also stated that I can donate to the charity of my choice in order to received all the funds as well as a refund. I repeatedly told William that I did not have the funds to do that but he insisted that we need to do it to secure the payment from the Financial team, he further offered and insisted on paying half of the amount, even after I insisted that I am not comfortable with such transactions as they are not part of any Telecommunications services process or procedure that I am fami**** with, but again he insisted and reassured me that all is well and I can pay him upon receipt of the Tap2Win reward. I sent the money and waited. I received a call from a guy named Mpho Khosi from 0682930677, he stated that he was the Financial manager and he was calling to let me know that William was trying to help however what he did was wrong and I need to send more money or buy more vouchers. This was alarming because I had repeatedly stated and reiterated that I do not have money, he stated that I need to add R50 in order on top of the R200+ I had already sent vouchers for. They stated that without the Donor number, they cant confirm the payment. I then told them that I was not in a position to cough up more money and that I need the funds i had sent them back for Transport to get home. I called both numbers countless times and the last time I spoke to William it was 13:55pm and he stated that he would call me back before 14:15pm with feedback and resloution or the funds in my account. He took my Account number and Cellphone number linked to the account and never got back to me. I tried calling again but to no avail, his phone stopped ringing and started going to Voicemail, when I called the second number a guy picked up and told me that william was on Lunch and would call me upon his return but he never did. I then called back about an hour later, only to be told(very dismissively) that William is Knocking Off and I will speak to him tomorrow. I asked to speak to manager or supervisor and I was told the same thing, that I will speak to him tomorrow, in the same dismissive tone before hanging up. I called back to get the name of the agent that was dismissive and hung up on me, only to be hung up on again. I sent a Whatsapp text to the 0672726339 number that William had initiated earlier on one of our calls to get the vouchers pins, but upon texting this number and calling, it was picked up by the very same agent that dismissed and hung up on me. Its been 2 hours since I knocked off and i'm stranded in Town, more than 30kilometers from where I live. I dont even know if I will get home, which not only poses a threat to my Health but also to my Safety. I pray nothing happens to me, coz I will definitely place the blame on William, Mpho Khosi, Telkom and Tap2Win responsible. then insisted I buy R200 airtime once off in order to reach 100 talk points and then the R15000 would be sent Via FNB Ewallet in 5 different SMS's totaling R3000 each. I received an SMS to confirm a few minutes later. I repeatedly told William that I did not have the funds to do that, and was it possible to take the donation from the reward money, a R1000 to be exact but he said no. I then told him that I do not have spare funds to donate at the moment but he insisted that we need to do it to secure the payment from the Financial team, he further offered and insisted on paying half of the amount, even after I insisted that I am not comfortable with such transactions as they are not part of any Telecommunications services process or procedure that I am fami**** with, but again he insisted and reassured me that all is well and I can pay him upon receipt of the Tap2Win reward. My experience was seamless and straight forward. I was in a bit of a panic before I spoke to Tiisetso Telekoa but he put my mind and heart ease with his calm, courteous and professional approach. I actually felt like I had received a callback from a Supervisor. I could tell he was calling to handle business.
I stay at The landmark apartments in Randburg, and I am honestly not happy. It is a terrible TERRIBLE place to stay. There's never any hot water, but we get billed for it, exuberant amounts too. We have a generator in the building but it's never switched on to power the units in the building, even in the event of a prolonged power outage. Security staff and building manager are never responsive and never take accountability for anything, they just pass the buck. The building manager and support staff don't respond to any written communication from us tenants, and they don't communicate any changes or updates. We log tickets for repairs but it takes about 3-4 months for those tickets to be attended to, and you have to constantly send reminders. One of the pipes in my basin was not fastened tight enough, it burst with water filling up my entire Unit. It is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen and our building manager is passing the buck again. We have toilet paper, toothpaste and soap in the bathroom cupboard and now it's all soaked. I regret every single day in this place, I cannot wait for my lease to end. And I hope I have no trouble getting my deposit back. I don't know if this review will help at all or if anything will be done about it but whoever is reading this "Stay away from Africrest properties, especially The Landmark apartments"
