Cotton On's customer service is absolutely useless. I ordered a few items online to put together a Halloween outfit for my daughter on 24 October and opted for express shipping so that it would get here in time for Halloween. It didn't arrive in time so I purchased an outfit elsewhere for Halloween and processed a refund request the day it arrived (leaving the items in the package it arrived in, unopened). The Courier has STILL not collected despite me reminding them that the package is still waiting here for collection, unopened. In a world where other retailers are so efficient with delivery and processing returns, Cotton On really needs to up their game, this is ridiculous!
I cannot comprehend how such a large company can operate with such a complete disregard for their customers' interests and get away with it. It is abundantly clear that they are ONLY interested in their bottom line and that they do not care one bit about you after you have made a purchase. My 84-year-old grandmother purchased a unit in a Retirement Village developed by Calgro a few years back at which time, they furnished her with an approved plan of the development. Fast forward to this year, Calgro unilaterally changed the plan without even bothering to consult with my Gran. They then proceeded to build the neighbouring unit on top of my Gran's boundary wall with the gutter and roof tiles encroaching on my Gran's property. Whilst attending to the construction of the neighbouring unit, they also broke a gas pipe on my Gran's property which was incredibly dangerous and could have caused major damage if an independent contractor (called out by my Gran to figure out why she no longer had hot water) hadn't fixed it himself. Worse still, they kept a spacing of 1.9m between the new units that they built but halved that for my Gran's unit. If they had just been ever so slightly considerate, they could have provided for equal spacing between all of the units but again, they were only thinking about their bottom line and how much money they could bring in for the new units (a major stuff you to the current unit owners). After kicking up a fuss at their less than ethical behaviour, they agreed to a settlement arrangement, which they completely reneged on because it was going to cost them some money (nothing compared to the amount by which my Gran's unit has been devalued due to their actions). When reaching out to Calgro via email, their Legal Advisor responded stating that they weren't mandated to consult with my Gran to change the plans that would negatively affect her in such a serious way nor did they require her approval and so they didn't approach her. How dishonourable can you be, to take advantage of an 84-year Pensioner in this way?? They didn't even bother consulting with/ nor give two hoots about her. Clearly, their only objective was to make the new units as attractive as possibly to prospective buyers at the expense of the purchasers who have already purchased their units and they probably thought at her age, what is she going to do about it?? Having witnessed the disgusting way in which they have treated my Gran, I will never ever purchase a property developed by Calgro again and I would recommend that you don't either to avoid dealing with something similar to the above as they clearly just don't care!

I am so disappointed by the way this company operates and I really don't understand why it is so difficult for them to respond to a simple question?? A friend of mine wanted a specific ilundi bag for her birthday but it stated that it was out of stock on their website so I messaged them via the contact form on their website to ask if it could be made to order and if I would receive it in time for her birthday (3 weeks away). After not receiving a response after a few days, I messaged them on WhatsApp and a couple of days later over Facebook messenger, tried to call them and commented on their FB posts asking them to check their messages but I have yet to receive a response from them. So, a couple of days before her birthday I tried to purchase an ilundi gift voucher for my friend instead but the website doesn't differentiate between vouchers/ bag stock and wanted to charge me R110 to deliver the voucher within 2 - 3 working days so I messaged them on all platforms again asking if I can just do an EFT to them and they send me the voucher via email and I was met with radio silence again... So needless to say I didn't end up purchasing from them for my friend's birthday. I just don't understand how people can be so rude to completely disregard your customers like that?? I sent many messages over all available communication platforms over 3 weeks and didn't receive one response
I'm writing this review to warn other potential clients because I wish I had seen a review like this before I had the very unfortunate experience of investing with Banxso. I would highly recommend staying very FAR away from this company for the following reasons: 1) their advertising is misleading and encourages beginner traders to invest with them but then when you follow the negligent trade recommendations given to you by your Success Manager, they say it was all your choice and try to negate all responsibility; 2) Their Success Managers don't know what they are doing (or at least the two I dealt with didn't), they give negligent advice, push you so hard to trade more, overexposing your account in a very short period of time and they can be very unprofessional, mocking me when I was scared of losing all of my savings (which is exactly what ended up happening due to following my Success Manager's recommended trades); 3) They give false promises and in my case, straight up lie, specifically I was told that the second account that I opened due to many promises on Banxso's part in an attempt to try make some of lost funds back would have my swaps reimbursed the day after trades were closed and that it would be an interest-bearing account. Weeks later and despite my numerous requests just to get what was promised to me, no swaps have been reimbursed and no interest has accrued and no one can tell me why or is even willing to assist in correcting the issue; 4) I see others here are saying that the good thing about Banxso is that their platform is secure and stable, from my experience this is NOT true, I have experienced a number of considerable glitches on the platform and a rather concerning system safety issue with a sizeable deposit (these things really should not be happening with a FSP regulated by the FSCA).
Investing with Banxso is the worst decision I have ever made in my entire life. I am a new trader, I saw the great reviews on Google and decided to invest in an attempt to grow my savings (which ended up having the exact opposite result and I lost everything). I took guidance from my assigned Success Manager, Monica. My account was severely overexposed under the direction of my Success Manager, who kept pushing me to make more trades (to help my free margin) when I made it very clear to her that what I had invested was all of my savings and I was not able to access more (she even told me to stop with my womanly fears when I questioned her and "let's make some money". I requested a new Success Manager twice from Head Office and kept getting redirected to Monica. Before I knew it my account was an absolute mess and this has been a constant source of stress for me every minute of every day as all my savings were wasting away. I was scrambling to find more funds, I even made a plan to withdraw my pension (and was waiting on the payout) and I just received a Stop Out email notification to the effect that all of my open trades had been closed (with the exception of the really large ones). I have lost the full R400k that I invested and still have a negative balance on my account. Absolutely disgusting service and I could not be more disappointed
What happened Freddy SA?? They used to be great but now the service is shocking! I purchased 3 items online on 11 September and still haven't received them, I got no notifications that the order had been successfully placed, nada, emailed them - no response and when I log onto their website, it just says 'paid' - 'unfulfilled' 🤷♀️ Ladies, rather check out shapewearshop.co.za: great quality products, brilliant service - same day delivery
If you are thinking of purchasing anything from Lifestyle Home think again.... broken promises over and over again and terrible quality. The situation is so bad that the Devi show has investigated numerous customer complaints, https://fb.watch/lIIl7l2M6N/
Please be careful purchasing from this company. They mislead customers about turnaround times and the Devi Show just did an investigation on the numerous complaints from customers about the quality of the furniture and delivery times.
